Hey PD,

Is this a streaming broadcast I can catch later on, say Saturday, and watch?

Fantastic, let me get my popcorn.

Why don’t you just drive down and take in the big game atmosphere?!

I’m not sure about that, but I will inquire.

I would love to but I have to work.  I stay glued to the computer on Fridays...

I want to say Boyle County, but..........

1.  That Lexington Catholic loss just keeps staring me in the face.

2.  And, although that is the only loss, the point difference between Boyle and their opponents just keeps giving me pause.

So, Douglas it is.  But, if Boyle proved me wrong, I wouldn't be mad.

I understand the concern about Boyle losing to Lex Cath, but I think it's important to remember that Boyle dominated that game up until the last 4 minutes and then completely self-destructed and also had a procedural penalty wipe away the game winning TD.

I checked out the website and it looks like every game streamed is archived and able to be watched again.

Thank you BBN!

No doubt about it, it's going to be hard to get the W Friday at home.  Over the past 6 seasons Boyle has a 43-1 record at home since the 2017 season.   Douglas has steamed roll everyone in their path this year and something will have to give this Friday night!  Looking forward to a meaningful game!

Boyle Home Record

2017 8-0 @home  (State Champs)

2018 7-0 @home (Semi Finals)

2019 9-0 @home (State Runner-up)

2020 6-0 @home (State Champs)

2021 8-1 @home (State Champs)

2022 5-0 @home (  ??  )

43-1 Home record last 6 seasons with a 97.72% win percentage

Rebel, do you think this is solely because Boyle County was better than their home opponents, or do you think there is a distinct "home field advantage" for the Rebels?

Honesty there is always a home field advantage but Boyle has not had a team like Frederick Douglas come into Rebel Stadium either.  Going to be a dog fight and I can't wait!  Big picture is A State Championship and this game will not decide that but will help your chances.

I think some teams have a "real" home field advantage:  huge crowd, loud atmosphere, ect.  Some teams I think the home field advantage is more perceived than real.  Just my opinion.

Douglas is probably a better team than most to visit, but wasn't sure of previous opponents without checking the schedule.

I expect a dogfight, should be an entertaining game.

Ty Bryant's defensive prowess will be challenged at some point by future candidate Quisenberry. Conversely, Tommy Zeismer will have his hands full with Douglass' offensive line. They neutralized Oryend Fisher a couple of weeks ago.

If Haddix and McPeek are smart - and I believe they are - every punt will land out of bounds and every kickoff will be squibbed. Bryant and Quisenberry might be the two best return men in the state. Allowing them to cleanly field a kick is an explosive play waiting to happen.
