Danville loses its third straight game.  Was up 21-7 late in the third quarter and gave up 34 unanswered points the rest of the way.

That makes four of the top 5 ranked teams in Class 2A to fall this evening.

Atherton wins its third straight to get to 3-2, while the Ads fall to 2-3.

 

Sheesh. Not good ADS. Not good. 

Throw the whole Danville team away!!!

This is an incredible tweet. Four consecutive fumbles, four consecutive Atherton scores. It appears things just went haywire for Danville in the second half.

I was talking to someone today that was wishing about Clevenger being reinstated and then promoted to the permanent AD position.  Bigger question for me would be if he would take it after what happened a few years back.

That aside, I don't think Peach is a bad coach at all.  The problem, though, is he walked into a really divisive situation and that would be tough for anyone to manage.  And it's showing in the program/community.

Not like there isn't a championship caliber program just down the road....

And it's not just in sports.  Boyle is outflanking the Danville system on a lot of fronts academically and now with a new drama and arts program.  New superintendent has his work cut out for him.
