Seems that way.  The Boyle game wasn't competitive and then the Ads penalties led to the loss against Mercer.  In this game, they were ahead and then had tons of turnovers in the 3rd & 4th quarter to give the game away.  Lots of undisciplined play.

I would pass on another police gig for a million dollars so maybe @TylerDurden and I are one percenters.  Maybe I need to quit hanging out with motorcycle gangs, it is rubbing off on me, lol.

Their schedule doesn’t get any easier from here.  Consistent discipline issues has to be driving the Danville faithful nuts.

They should be 4-1 right now or record reflective of talent on field? 

The players need to share accountability for the debacle.  Coaches aren't laying the football on the turf...  Sounds like a bad situation for all parties.  Love Coach Clevenger, and he's a good football coach but not sure he could even turn them around.  It doesn't help that right across town the Big Rebel Train keeps rolling.

Yeah and they didn't play Mercer or Boyle last year because they canceled because of Covid. Those were going to be 2 losses.

Yes he would, the kids all love Clevenger and respect him. He demands respect and accountability.

His last full season at Danville (not counting 2020 Covid year) they went 3-7).  Like I said, great coach but it takes players to win at a high level.  This roster is not at a state contender level.  

I'm not advocating for Coach Peach over Coach Clevenger in no shape or form.  Just simply saying when players aren't buying in, that's on the coaching staff and the players.  There has to be shared accountability, and working towards a resolution.

Agreed on the players, but I'd note that the 3-7 season saw the Ads play a pretty tough schedule.  They lost twice to future state champion Somerset, lost to an LCA team that would've gone much further in the playoffs if not for the silly "stay in your district for the first two rounds" system that was used at the time, lost to Boyle (state runner-up), a regional finalist Madison Southern team, and a regional finalist Bardstown team.  Only bad loss was to 1A Hazard, which was by 1 point at home.

No one likes a losing record but the team faced a really rough road of competition.  The new coaching staff got out of a series (or at least 1 game) with Johnson Central too when they took over to replace it with Atherton.  We saw how well that worked out last week.

Danville is not a state contender this year, but I will go to my grave saying that they had the athletes to be more competitive with Boyle County this year than they were. I wonder how much different that game could have been if the coaching staffs were swapped. Outside of Tavy Quisenberry, I'm not so sure that Boyle County has superior athletes across the board, Danville has some players on that team.

Okay, so maybe I was being a little dramatic. Lol

I'd take the job for a million, but that doesn't mean the Danville job wouldn't still be a miserable job to have in its current state. And especially with the old administration and coaches in place.
