Kentucky 26 Florida 16

Florida never should have jumped as high as they did into the polls. Kentucky corrected that error immediately.

No doubt.  Media painted Richardson as the next big thing and he didn't live up to the hype.

Maybe.

When halftime came it was like we switched OL. The running game started and was dominate.

That, aside from the missed field goal was fun to watch.

Not sure if Richardson was that bad or if the Cats made the adjustments. The defense seems for real!

So happy tonight!

What an awesome performance by the Kentucky D. The offense got rolling in the second half, and outside of the bad snaps and one missed FG, it was a total performance. Two years in a row Kentucky makes THE play to win the game not lose.

Kentucky overcame their errors.  Florida did not.

The roof could have caved after the safety, or the miss PAT or the missed FG.  But it did not.

I was looking for Florida to come out after the pick-6 and get back the TD with a quick drive.  They did not.

Kentucky had the confidence to overcome things that would have sent them spiraling at times in the past. Florida did not and look more scared each series in the second half.

I think there is a lot of truth to it now.

UK can't call themselves a football school as long as there is rioting/turning cars over because they beat Florida.  They've done it 3 times in 5 years now. It's not a novelty.

1 percenters, you throw those out.

Florida needs a quarterback very badly, kid playing QB now is a slot player and maybe even a running back.

I don’t think there’s a maybe about it. Florida was tied for 37th in preseason rankings and won by 3 at home against Utah. Yes, a ranked opponent but it isn’t like they dominated them. In fact, Utah was easily in field goal range to send it to overtime, but threw an INT in the end zone going for the win (and no blame there). That doesn’t feel worthy of a 25 spot jump. This win was still big for Kentucky, especially given what it means for the trajectory of the season, but if that was Minnesota getting that win (a team ahead of them in preseason rankings) - they ain’t jumping 25 spots.

Richardson did not play well. This fact was only made worse by media members making very unfair comparisons saying that he was the next Cam Newton, Tim Tebow, etc. However, let's not forget that UK's defense is very, very good. They have a top 2-3 LB core in the entire SEC. UK's defense deserves a lot of credit for making Richardson look as bad as he did.

I've read reports from some witnesses that the car that was flipped, drove into the crowd nearly hitting people. When people yelled at the driver for nearly hitting them he got out ready to fight. The crowd then flipped his car. While agree couch burning was over the top, I think the car flip may be a complete separate issue.

Richardson had a QB rating of 3...point...8.

Barely better than my Zero. Point. Zero.

Which I don't believe we are giving enough credit to the UK defense for creating/contributing to. That is all I am saying.
