Here is how I see it in a different view.  Is this standard/rule something that is just "Out dated" in today's academic world where kids are able to accelerate their High School education to be "eligi

Hold up! Not all fans of the school in Fort Thomas are making those remarks about Beechwood. I applaud Beechwood for being a school that has accommodated to the 21st Century…..

Don’t forget that Highlands is a dominant force in 7 on 7s. That means a lot in Fort Thomas these days.

Yes, they are indeed on different schedules. One is ranked higher, academically, than the other, annually.

Lol.

I can promise you with 100% certainty that Fort Thomas Schools will not change any academic policy for athletic reasons.  If this becomes something relevant in the future I am sure the policy could be reviewed, however, no way this will change this year.

We could all strain at a gnat and swallow an elephant, but would still be comparing who swallowed the biggest elephant. Let’s leave it on the football field and compare schedules between 2A and 5A.

First of all, I think this back and forth about Beechwood this and Highlands that is a bit petty. Both are great schools. Obviously some of it is in fun.

As to the on the football field comment, I will led with a big caveat for Beechwood fans - to my knowledge the Tigers have never come close to beating Highlands on the field so you are right on that point. I would be very happy to be corrected on that point.

That said, Beechwood finished #6 in the state on calpreps.com. last year. I am sure they would have welcomed a chance at the Birds on the field over the past few seasons.

Yeah Beechwood and and Highlands are awesome academic schools and football programs.

We used to scrimmage Beechwood and play them in JV football a lot. But very rarely played in varsity. They always seemed like an ally or something for some reason.

Obviously Beechwood has been the alpha football school in Northern Kentucky last two years. This year I think the match up would be competitive.

Beechwood and Highlands hasn't played each other in a long time. I think Beechwood would beat them the past few years.

So is the decision made? Honestly at this point it’s more of a distraction. Also if everything is based on getting out in December, how do you know he’s not going turn a program upside down and then just sit out?

Kid has a ticket to ride, doesn’t need to prove anything. And it’s not like he has a developed bond with any of these teams.

I heard from a reliable source yesterday that he'll be at Beechwood. It's just a matter of getting all the paperwork squared away.

Sadly, I don't think that is saying much.....I would think 99% of Birds fans would agree with your assessment.
