  • Will Smith looks like the clown in this to me, and it's not because he slapped him. It's because he laughed and then, after a look of disgust from Jada, apparently got so enraged he had to walk on sta

  • The Oscars was just the culmination of her making him look like a fool for years.

My favorite. Any time there is a Carson Palmer face slap, I am on board. Dude is so petty and still holds a grudge after all these years.

I loved Carson when he was here but I wish he would just shut his pie hole.

This one may be pretty close to the truth:

Apparently Rock is getting ready to kick off a comedy tour and secondary prices on tickets (the minimum) have risen from $46 to $341 per the NYP.

I listened to a similar report.  Rock is definitely going to benefit from the incident.

Michael Jackson caught hell for years for his skin getting lighter in color as he aged, which he blamed on vitiligo. I don't ever remember this much wailing and moaning for Michael over "....but he has a disease!"

Everyone and their brother makes fun of Mike Tyson for his frontal lisp, which is caused by an anatomical malformation in one or more of the muscles in the tongue, and that malformation makes them physically unable to correctly make an 's' sound.

Peter Falk had a lazy eye he was teased about for years. That's a medical condition.

Bruce Willis has been teased endlessly for going bald. That's a medical condition.

I've heard plenty of groan-worthy jokes about Michael J. Fox being shaky because of Parkinson's.

Megan Fox gets made fun of for her stump thumbs. That's caused by a genetic skeletal condition called brachydactyly type D.

And just with physical appearances in general...how many times have we heard jokes about Sarah Jessica Parker having a face like a horse? Or jokes about Sylvester Stallone's face looking like he was hit by a truck? Or about Eugene Levy's eyebrows? Or about Jay Leno's chin? Or about Owen Wilson's nose...or Adrien Brody's nose...or Karl Malden's nose...or Bob Hope's nose and chin? Taking jabs at celebrities for the sake of humor is as old as being a celebrity.

According to news reports just days before the Oscars Jada made these comments on tic toc: "I am not my hair. I don’t give two craps what people think about my bald head because I love it. Be proud of your crown."

I have a friend who ended up in a pretty serious battle with depression and a corresponding eating (I considered it starving) disorder that often made fun of his own overweight appearance. He later admitted that he didn't see humor in it at all, just felt out of control with it and decided it was easier to put of the "I don't care" veneer. I've felt like a horses rear since all of that because I was one that poked fun right along with him and feel I had some small part in his struggles.

I don't put much stock into these comments the more I think about it. Even if it isn't as serious as my friends situation, being comfortable with it sitting in your house is a lot different than sitting at an internationally televised event with everyone in attendance laughing at your expense.

All things considered here I agree with you and in the case of Jada and Will I don't put much stock in Jada's comments either and I think it is just the opposite, they care a lot.

I have some friends that struggle with themselves and I am normally pretty "hard" on them by telling them no self-deprecating comments or putting themselves down in any way.  Showing them love and positivity normally goes a long way.

According to TMZ Chris Rock did not know Smith's wife suffered from alopecia.  If true, that certainly changes the calculation here, correct?

Sure changes things for me.  I hadn't seen that by TMZ when I asked earlier this morning.

If this joke is "crossing the line," we might as well pack up stand up comedy for good.

Less people were offended when Ricky Gervais accused the entire room of being pedophiles.

I'm predicting this sets us up for a cage match with no disqualifications for the 2023 Oscars.

Anyone else remember MTV's Celebrity Death Match?

I was just about to ask, I wonder if the reaction from Jada & Will Smith would have been the same if it was another comedian making the joke.  Seems like there is some past history with the Smiths and Chris Rock.
