Conner got its first touchdown on a 75-yard punt return by Melvin Miles. Beechwood tied it on a 78-yard pass play from Chris Bowling to Tim Seaman.

If we had one weakness at Beechwood back in the day it was giving up big plays on special teams.  With that said we are talking about Melvin Miles and Bryan Shotwell here, two of the greatest players ever to play for Conner and in Melvin's case all of NKY.

Should be pretty good weather compared to last game between these two. It was a steady rain last time. Any injuries on either side that could impact the game?

They started playing each other annually back in 1975. Conner led the series in overall wins until 1990 when Cov Cath caught up at 8 a piece. The series was ditched for all of the 00s, and from '15-'18, but the Colonels have taken 16 of the 20 games the two have played since '90.
