December 28, 200619 yr Morris has already outplayed Hansborough pretty badly head to head. If I was going to talk about who is better with those 2 I guess when its all said and done consistency is the key, who is more consistent all year.
December 28, 200619 yr I'm not the 18%......... Funny how you would make a thread to try and win this debate, From what I seen this year, Morris is the best big man in the SEC, Nation? I don't know, But Noah couldn't pack his dinner bucket, And Feb. 10th you'll see, UK has something for Noah, His name is S.W.A.T. Warrior32

Warrior32 I would prefer not to win this debate, but Morris isn't as good as Noah. Offensively he's better, but Noah has an overall game that Morris lacks. Morris will not dominate Florida inside. Horford and Noah really eliminate the lane defensively.

I thought maybe everyone thought Morris was the best in the country, but most don't seem to have them in their top 3 or 4.
December 29, 200619 yr Spoken as a life-long UK fan, Morris hasn't shown NEAR the consistency to be included in this argument. How can you count on him one game to the next? I'd take Noah over Randolph every day and twice on Sunday. Attitude, effort, and many other intangibles.... I HATE Florida, but I'm a Joakim fan.

December 29, 200619 yr If Oden were fully healthy I'd take him. But that hand hampers him just enough. While Oden can be a monster, his game is limited but Florida showed that a good defensive strategy with some big bodies can limit his effectiveness. He did not show the ability to hit from outside of 5 feet in that game and they consistently put a body on him and he got very few offensive rebounds. And the constant pounding and making him run the court to defend took a toll on him and he couldn't play at the level OSU needed him to when the game was getting out of control. Billy D had a great strategy to limit him.

I don't know, But Noah couldn't pack his dinner bucket, And Feb. 10th you'll see, UK has something for Noah, His name is S.W.A.T. Warrior32 Noah doesn't have the offensive moves that Morris has nor has he shown a touch from 10 feet that Morris has. But at the same time, Morris has not effected a game on the defensive end like Noah has nor runs the floor like Noah does. It all is in the eye of the beholder. Offensively, Morris. Defensively, Noah. My eye says Noah because he is the more complete player.
December 29, 200619 yr :thumb: :thumb: Good call. Not sure he's Oden-esque, but he's really good. ...and he knows how to play a true low-post game.
December 29, 200619 yr I'll take Horford over Noah. Horford is a much bigger threat at the offensive end of the floor. Davidson from Alabama should be in the conversation as well although he plays the 4/5 at 6'10".
December 29, 200619 yr Oden, Hawes, Horford and Noah would be my top 4. A ranking would depend on the system in place...
December 29, 200619 yr Radenovich out of Arizona is another good one, even though he is not your typical post player. Loves to face the basket and has unlimited range for a big man. Another one who flies under the radar due to being on the West Coast, but can really play.
December 29, 200619 yr I would go with Noah right now in a Noah v Morris matchup (overall) but Morris is a different player this year. It will be interesting to see what happens in Feb. If you had asked most people early on how Morris would have done in NC they would have said not good. He has, for the most part, done very well. I can't wait to see how he does against Fla.
December 29, 200619 yr When Morris helps lead his team to a title as Noah did last year, then I'll put him on the same level with Joakim...
