WOW!  I feel for Lincoln County.  Boyle has other options for this weekend or on their bye week to find a game.  I feel very confident they will and actually come out better in the RPI point system for it.

That applies to unvaccinated players doesn't it? If the players were vaccinated, they would be ok to play Friday.

Correct. There were too few remaining, unfortunately. 

Not too few of the right players, either.  Literally too few to play 11 man football. 

Sad that this cross-town rivalry game looks like it won't be played for the second straight year.

WOW! Lincoln County shows 57 players on their roster. That means more than 45 of those players are unvaccinated. Mind boggling.

I guess we will find out if LCA is better than Lex Cath on Sept. 17.  But I have watched both play, and I do think Catholic is overall the better team from what I have seen so far.  

And my whole point in all of this was that Boyle's defense is majorly struggling.  If they can't get it turned around, then in my opinion, they will not beat Lex Cath, or many other teams they have scheduled this season.

Probably less than 45. I doubt they wouldn't play if only had 11 players.

I know there are contributing factors for canceling in both 2020 and 2021, but I really hope the Danville/Boyle series doesn't go away.

I don't think the rivalry will end. Danville can't afford to lose that game. That's where they make there money because it's always a huge crowd.

I understand entirely what you are saying about Boyles defense not being very good. I really do. I just don't understand the assumption that they will get beat based on losing to a team by one score, and the team happens to be really good. If you said Lex Cath would have a bunch of yards, that would make sense based on Boyle's performance, but to assume they will get beat is just reckless. LCA had 465 yards rushing and had to get a first down with time running out to seal the victory. It's not like they walked into Rebel Stadium and drilled BC, so I wouldn't count a victory based on a poor defensive performance that resulted in a 7 point loss.

Did Danville only have 2 players that could not play? This is what is going around as they wanted out of this game and used this as an excuse?  Second year in a row this game was not played?
