And yes, when you let a team that you know is going to run the ball over and over and you can't stop them, then there is a problem.  How do you expect to stop a team that has a balanced offense?  

All I am saying is there needs to be some MAJOR changes on the defense for Boyle to even win their district.  If Friday's defense shows up against LC, then Boyle doesn't have a chance to win that game.  

So, I hate to ask this again. But boyle lost by one score to the number one team in 2A and all of a sudden they cant win their district? Boyle is a 3A school playing in 4A so truly there is one class between LCA and Boyle and they got beat by a TD so they are automatically out? You don't think there is a chance that LCA is better than Catholic? 

It appears that Boyle County and Danville are on slightly different pages here. It appears that Boyle County is looking for an opponent to replace Danville on the schedule, while Danville is looking to reschedule their game against Boyle County.

I believe, for non-district games like this one, the ball is basically in Boyle County's court since Danville is the team that is unable to play this week, as originally contracted.

Boyle County can choose to reschedule the game, in which case there will have to be some schedule shuffling by one or both teams, because Boyle's bye week is Oct 1 and Danville's bye week is Sep 24, so a straight "postponement" isn't possible without someone moving things around with some opponents.

Boyle also has the option to schedule a replacement game this Friday with an open team, in which case they're basically telling Danville...





If Boyle schedules a team instead of Danville (which, frankly, would be what I would try to do...play a game while you can play a game), then the forfeit loss for Danville goes away. Danville then has the ability to use this week as their "bye week" and they can try to find another competitor for Sep 24 when they originally had scheduled their bye.

BC should move forward and find another opponent ie. Madison Central or I heard Pulaski Co cause their opponent Lincoln Co might still be trying to get healthy.

Boyle typically scrimmages Madison Central every year but this years was cancelled because MC was in Covid protocol.

A cautionary tale.....

Lincoln cancelled the Pulaski game solely due to the protocol that requires players to be quarantined after being exposed. Lincoln didn’t want to cancel that game. They had to.
