Coach K and the farewell Tour!

Coach K has obviously realized the game has passed him by, and is getting out because he knows he doesn’t have it anymore.

JK, I just figured that would have been a the response if it was Cal retiring.

Coach K IMO is the best basketball coach of all time. Even though I’m not a Duke fan, it will be sad not seeing him coach Duke anymore after this year.

Hopefully we can get one more UK vs Duke tournament game this year before he retires.

Already thinking about how nauseating next year will be anytime:

Duke is on the road

Dicky V calls the game

Duke plays Carolina- as if that could get worse

National Sports Media has a slow day and nothing to talk about

I don't remember which thread it was in College Basketball but I feel like I said that I bet he would retire at the end of this year.  Glad he's going to be around one more year.

Probably the greatest college basketball coach we've seen and yes I know who John Wooden is.

Nauseating is the perfect word to describe what's coming.  I don't look forward to any of it.

All that said...K is the best ever.

Love him or hate him, you have to admit, he is a great basketball coach.   With as many back issues he's had over the last decade plus, it's probably a bit past time for him to call it a career, but he earned the right to go out on his terms.    I hope Duke has a good year and Coach K gets the respect and love he deserves.  I'm sure real basketball fans will do just that.
