Right, most likely Male and St. X districts would be paired up and one of those teams losing in 2nd round. This past year they didn't play until Championship. I'm in favor of sister districts though because silly to play team you just played couple weeks before playoffs.

Assuming Male and St. X both win their district. They would not play in the first 2 rounds. Each would play the 4 seed from the other district in round 1, then the winner of one of the 2v3 games.

It sounds like they would continue to use RPI for round 3 and beyond.

You are right. My error. Thx! For some reason was thinking 4 teams but would actually be 8 teams paired up.

Either way, I'm sure Marshall County sure would appreciate not having to come to Trinity in the 1st round every year ?

What district will be the first to have 2 teams meet in the State Championship game now that we have inter district and RPI in the 3rd 4th rounds?

It should be district 1/2, 3/4, then 5/6, 7/8. In each class. That’s how it was before. It just makes more sense for geographical reasons. 

Who wins and who loses on this ruling?  As in the old way guaranteed me a trip to the third round but now we may be out the 1st round? Any match ups come to mind?

Some winners off the top of my head: Scott County, Mercer, Pulaski County, Lexington Catholic, Louisville Central.
