I stand corrected. Bwood might be a contender.

We'll find out more soon enough. Next three weeks Beechwood faces big school opponents - Cov Cath, Ryle then Dixie.

Sounds like Corbin played a much better half in the second.  New HC and short run up might have hurt them.  Next few weeks should show.

So happy for the Tigers. Worst coverage ever for a paid coverage.

Tigers looked solid overall! Lots of players cramping up in the second half! Took quite a few starters out for a couple of plays! The next few weeks will show where Beechwood is really at with all three schools looking strong in their first games!

Agree on both counts!!!! Go Tigers!!!!

Congratulations to Beechwood. I think they can be very proud. A good looking team. I’m not shocked at all that Beechwood won. I’m just at a loss for words seeing we didn’t utilize the talent we have. Not good.

I get what you're saying, but I'm trying to temper my feelings about the cost of paid broadcasts. When it comes down to it, there are a lot of schools that are scrambling to try to cobble together a video broadcast without any prior experience doing that, in hopes of recouping money that they aren't getting at the gate for games.

My school went from selling a few thousand tickets at some games, plus concessions and split the pot...to a few hundred tickets per home game, and no concessions and split the pot. Plus we're down to 3 regular season home games. Gotta make ends meet somehow.

I don’t mind paying and supporting schools.  $20 covers about what the two of us would spend at a game, not counting season tickets.   I do mind repeatedly getting kicked off after watching less than a minute of interrupted play and then not being able to get back in.

BTW, I still joke about the time years ago when Cov Cath hosted the Beechies and I won the split the pot in a PACKED game, back when Beechwood actually beat the Colonels.
They saw a woman dressed in red and white and gave me $50.  I think I got the Catholic version of that “split”. It’s ok, I am Catholic too.

Beechwood’s big season opening win was aided by two field goals by senior K Colin Graman, who nailed a 40-yarder in the first half and a short one in the second half.

Kid has an absolute cannon of a leg and we’ll likely see him playing somewhere on Saturday’s next year at the next level.

He sure does. He looked like he was going to kick it over the Post Office.
