Jumper_Dad
The long rumored "Snyder Cut" will be released on HBOMax in 2021 sometime. The fact that a lot of what made it on screen in the original version, was reshot after Snyder dropped out. He had completed principle filming and had began to edit the final cut. He dropped out due to family issues.
Jumper_Dad
HBOMax has evidently also said they want Ben Affleck to make the Batman movie that he had written with Deathstroke and Leto's Joker. Could possibly be a two or three part movie. I liked Affleck's Batman, so I would like to see this.

There is much more time spent on back stories that was left our of the Wheedon version. This movie is kinda like a novel that the first movie was made from. Similar story arc and many scenes carry over, but this version seems to flesh out the story more completely. The epilogue itself is worth watching and sets up this DC universe going forward if Warner Brothers want to move forward with more movies.
