Well I have no reason at all to think Florida would win this game. OSU has the better offense, better defense, better special teams, and a coach who just never seems to lose in a bowl game... But I have seen this happen before, where it makes no sense for a team to win, but they somehow win. So I am just going to take Florida in this game even though I have really no reason too...

Typical ND fan. I, on the other hand, will be rooting for your team. :thumb:

Florida pulls off the upset...

Florida 28

OSU 24

Nice try. We'll try this again. Florida's does have the #1 SOS in the country, UM has the #3. Better, yes, by much, no. Winning records are neglible when you DON'T FREAKING PLAY ANYONE. While I'll agree that no "world beaters" were scheduled by many of the Big 11, they certainly didn't schedule 1AA teams, Buffalo, UCF and the like as their top OOC games. Most played teams from the MAC, which are respectable, and have done fairly well in the past. Illinois played Rutgers, MSU also played a highly preseason touted Pitt, Minnesota played Cal, OSU played Texas, Purdue played #25 Hawaii, and PSU also played ND.

Arkansas played USC

Tennessee played Cal

Florida played a "highly preseason touted" FSU (since you're counting that)

Vandy played Michigan

Kentucky played UofL

UGA played Georgia Tech

South Carolina played Clemson

Auburn played Washington State

LSU played Arizona

Alabama played Hawaii

i wish people would quit whining about the BCS. Michigan got their shot Nov 18th and couldnt get the job done. Clearly Florida should play for the National Championship after winning the SEC. Just face it the SEC is stronger then the Big 10 and will prove that Jan 8th. OSU didnt play any offense like UF's in the Big 10 and wont know how to handle the Urban way. Im taking the GATORS 31-17

Dont be such a homer. :thumb:

I live in Florida and root for the gators and the SEC.

But try a little objectivity and humility. It helps your arguments.

That offense you speak so HIGHLY of is only 2 points from a 10-3 season and giving Tenn. the SEC title shot.

(TENN 21-20 and South Carolina 17-16.)

If UM got voted in - you would be whining about the BCS.

We already know Florida won their Nat. Champsnioship in a REMATCH game.

:p

I'm thinking toooo much time SLOWS Chris Leak making him rusty. He's a streaky player, imo.

Smith, Ginn and Pittman are going to be fast next week or next month.

Florida will have to hope their offense can get big plays.

I dont think they can stop OSU from scoring.

I think you and Tressell are both scared. But really, with this system, you shouldn't have been. As we've seen the BCS could mess up a wet dream, and even if the Bucks had to play UM, and UM won, they'd split the title anyways. A win, win for you. I say do away with playing the OSU/UM game every year, go to rotating schedules just like the SEC, so we don't have to worry about this problem all the time. Because that would make sense..... Next year, lets schedule 1AA teams and cupcakes throughout our conference so that we can stand up and beat our chests and say look at all these wins!!! Florida, the SEC, and the BCS are all frauds. And you guys haven't even seen angry yet.......

I don't think I have ever been scared of playing anybody especially Michigan the last 6 years (5 wins 1 loss). Michigan had their best shot and couldn't come through. Three turnovers by Ohio State with two coming inside of the 15 yard line and the other when Ohio State was going to score again. Michigan had their best and only chance. And one day when the Buckeyes are in the same situation I will remember what I typed.

USC by 3.

Alert the media. We finally agree on something. I think the Bucks have trouble with the blue/orange color combo (see Illini final score). Michigan gets caught mailing it in, again. OSU finally sees a team with more speed than them. UF's front four are a different breed. They will cause the Bucks some problems.

If OSU makes as many mistakes against Florida as they did when they played Michigan, Florida will win. If the turnovers are even, OSU wins.

USC by 3.

That's pretty strong...

Ohio State's talent will overcome Urban Meyer's scheme.

Florida is going to get beat by at least 2 TD's.

I haven't been overly impressed with Florida all year. UK actually played with Florida for a half and the Gators had to pull out a trick play to score on them early on. (Not trying to imply UK should/could have won, but come on the worst defense in 1A?)

I don't know if this was posted anywhere else, but here is how the coaches voted...http://www.usatoday.com/sports/graphics/coaches_fb_poll_2006/flash.htm

Tressell is HUGE in big games

:thumb: I am pretty sure that it was Lee Corso a couple of weeks ago on espn that said throughout Tressell's career (all college levels) that he was 39-7 in big games. I am still working out my prediction on this one, it's still a month away.
