November 6, 20196 yr Still learning all the names and playing styles as Maxey, Hagans, and Quickley all look the same when on the court. Who knows what this team will be, but at first glance I like what I saw potential wise on defense. Maxey #3 Hagans #0 Quickley #5
November 6, 20196 yr Disappointed in Whitney and I think Brooks may be better long term. The rest of the Cats performed well. And Maxey, just wow kid! What a gamer. Great team Defense too. Go Cats.
November 6, 20196 yr It still always is fun to see the activity in these threads after a win and a lost. Last year at this time there was already 91 post on the lost to Duke and ended up being over 115 post total in the thread. This year UK beats the #1 team in the nation to start the season and there are only 18 post compared to the 91 last year at this time after losing.
November 6, 20196 yr Kentucky's ceiling is much higher than we saw last night. Looking forward to watching guys like Whitney and Brooks improve. Loved the first half defense of the Cats. Got lucky that MSU missed some wide open looks down the stretch. It will probably be a constant this year, Richard's and Montgomery are gonna frustrate me. Last night's UK team was a shell of what it could become. Juzang barely played. Brooks will improve by leaps and bounds once he can acclimate to the speed/pace of college ball. Whitney will come a long nicely and as a whole this team will gel. Last night's win was great but what's more exciting is the fact that thos team is going to get a lot better as the season goes on.
November 6, 20196 yr If UK had Wiseman I’d be printing shirts. Or Blackshear or Carey. Just means they'll have to come together and rely on the team more so than individuals. Should make for a fun season.
November 6, 20196 yr Maxey's clutch deep 3 was mind blowing. This UK team looks like a monster this season. Lots of depth. I heard a 5 star player decommitted because there were already too many 5 star players.
November 7, 20196 yr You always hope there are no chemistry problems as playing time waxes and wanes.

I heard a 5 star player decommitted because there were already too many 5 star players. UK is a 5 star revolving door. I am not sure why a recruit would be worried about other 5 star players on the current roster. They will be gone in 2020.

This year UK beats the #1 team in the nation to start the season and there are only 18 post compared to the 91 last year at this time after losing. I am sure as soon as they have their first loss a few of the usual suspects will show up and give us a few more posts.
November 11, 20196 yr I am sure as soon as they have their first loss a few of the usual suspects will show up and give us a few more posts. Kind of surprised @nikeman49 didn't have any positive things to say about his beloved cats. Maybe he will let us know his feelings after they lose 1.
November 11, 20196 yr Kind of surprised @nikeman49 didn't have any positive things to say about his beloved cats. Maybe he will let us know his feelings after they lose 1. You know that is when he will show up. He doesn't miss saying something in those instances. If they would have lost it probably would have been some shot he would have taken a Cal, and talked about how Izzo out coached him or something. Yet UK wins, but not a word is said. It is usually how it goes.
November 11, 20196 yr Author LOVE watching this team so far, they play so much better/harder defensively than last year. Last we had 2 that were really lazy defensively (PJ and Keldon) and 1 (Herro) who tried really hard to guard but just had a lot of limitations, which I can live with a kid like that. The combo of Hagans, Quickly and Maxey on D, with the effort of the others and Cal having them show and recover back instead of just automatically switching everything has me excited about how good this team to be. Still disappointed in EJ for the most part, if somebody can light a fire under his tail this team could be REALLY good!!!
