Patriots Release Antonio Brown

Featured Replies

Brown has taken about $29.5MM and lit it on fire. Same effect.

All he is going to end up being compensated for in 2019 will be a one game paycheck.

Considering it's the Patriots, there has to be a lot of baggage with the allegations. As I stated in another AB thread, can anyone believe anything out of this guys mouth? A one man, self-destructing super athlete that is imploding in front of the world almost daily.

Bill doesn't want drama and has a history of letting guys go who are still prime. It's a shame what has become of Brown. Head injuries and a selfish ego ruined it all.

Can't argue with a thing you say. Not a shrink, but narcissism(sp) comes to mind.

I imagine it would be tough gig being his agent.

I heard comments on the agent angle this week. AB's agent is Drew Rosenhaus. The comment I heard is Rosenhaus is his agent because he lets AB do whatever he wants and just focuses on the contracts and salary.

Astute observation. I wonder if there will be buyers that will actually wear them, or more likely collectors speculating that something even more bizarre might happen to create value. Where's the popcorn?

I’m sure we will go that way, but don’t give me the “this is in part because of head injury side effects” rhetoric. For every Antonio Brown, there are 1,000 good guys in the NFL which come nowhere close to his level of antics. Social media and lack of repercussions for his schtick have thrown fuel on his narcissistic fire.

Wasting talent for sure. But what makes me sick is to think how much money this dude has cost himself. We are not talking a couple million or two. We are talking a stupid amount of money this guy has forfeited.

If you're this dumb, maybe that's a good thing for society.

I’m still amazed that New England brought him on. It’s been apparent how severe his issues are.

I think they looked at it purely as a business transaction. "This guy is really talented, let's see if the past year of struggles has been due to his circumstances and other bad actors involved." Two weeks later, "Nope, it's definitely him, he's a head case!"

AND now he's on twitter telling the world he's done with the NFL, downward spiral on crack at this point.

Love Brown going to twitter screaming that he is entitled to his “guaranteed money.” Brown is too dumb to realize how much leverage he has stripped from the players by acting a fool. Brown is now the poster child for why Owners don’t want to give guaranteed money to players. And really, what can the NFLPA say to refute it?

When you are thought to be a fool, Twitter might not be your best friend.

And the fact Bill bought the groceries and couldn't answer questions about AB is a joke.
