August 21, 20197 yr Ever tried ? There's a grocery by my house that recently closed up shop, so I got a BUNCH of extremely nice New York Strips on sale for $6.99 a pound. I gave his dry-aging method a shot for the first time about 2 weeks ago, and I've got to admit, it was REALLY good - even just on a gas grill. Finished the steaks off with a little salt & pepper, and a light dust with porcini mushroom powder. Great stuff. On a side note, Good Eats is back on the air with new episodes starting Sunday.
August 21, 20197 yr Everything mentioned, I prefer about five sides but if forced to go with two it would be mashed taters and corn.

August 21, 20197 yr If at home, I'm in on the baked potato and corn. We go to,Logans in Florence at times, it's baked potato and salad with there thousand island dressing.
August 21, 20197 yr Everything mentioned, I prefer about five sides but if forced to go with two it would be mashed taters and corn. Likewise, I could easily list 5-8 things, especially if salad and "toppers" like mushrooms are included. If I'm going traditional sides, I'd say asparagus and an au gratin potato. If at a cookout, I'd say baked beans and corn on the cob. If at a decent steakhouse (Longhorn, or the like), I'd say a salad with french dressing and some veggie or baked beans, depending on the offerings.
