This Trinity team looks a lot like the 2016 group.

Trinity scores again lead 45-0 with 7:24 left in the 3rd quarter.

JV's in now for 4th quarter. FD could do very little against Trinity's defense. FD had some very athletic pass receptions, though. I liked the physicality Trinity showed. They will need it next week for sure.

Douglass gets on the board to make it 45-8 Trinity width 4:28 to play.

Trinity is the real deal. Frederick Douglass dont look all that good. I think they had maybe 3 first downs the whole first half. Comple domination by Trinity. Douglass better be glad they moved down to 5A.

Another thing that bothered me about Frederick Douglass, you are getting beat 38/0 and you got kids on the field dancing. Thats something I will never understand.

FD definitely did not live up to the hype, at least in this matchup.

 

Luckily for them, they are 5A now and will still probably be a contender.

I don't know if it is soft, but it's definitely a tier (or two) down from Louisville consistently.
