Well, by that same token...the pizza that you order, is that really a pizza according to the Italians? But, yet you accept it as the "norm". So, why can't Cincinnati Chili be it's own thing too?

Me, you and @mcpapa can take our $12 each, hop in car and go somewhere else to get some decent food. Besides the food being average at best, I can’t even get a Diet Coke.

 

If I have to eat Skyline, I’ll get a couple cheese Coneys and water. I don’t willingly go to Skyline and typically only go when a client wants to meet there, which happens a few times every year.

$12 worth of anything that doesn't have that awful chili on it.

3-way, couple of chilitos and an unsweet tea (have to use splenda). Skyline is my favorite but I'll eat the other Cincy style chilis. And all you folks who are not fond of Cincy style chili, that's great! That makes more for the rest of us who do! Oh yeah, I'll have a handful of candy corn and pumpkins for desert.

If you were in Alexandria I would try to talk you into going just up the road to Empress for 2 cheese coneys an a chilli pizza with a water. If that doesn't fly then I will settle for 2 cheese coneys an a 3 way with a water.

 

My wife and I stopped there about a year ago because we haven't had Empress in a long time and in our younger days it was pretty darn good. It was sooo watered down and tasteless we actually thought a mistake was made with our order. It was nothing like we remembered. We simply could not eat it.

I'd get however many cheese coneys you can get for that amount.

I can always go for a deluxe burrito and a rootbeer. I'd probably grab an ice cream sandwich on my way out the door to get to $12. Skyline burritos are really good IMO.

 

If I'm a little hungrier then it's going to be a 3 way and a chili cheese sandwich, mustard no onion, with a rootbeer.

Must have been a bad batch that day. Their chilli in my opinion has the most taste and most meat than skyline/gold star. Now I wouldn't be upset if a Dixie chilli would come out this way.

2 cheese coneys (mustard & onions), small 4-way (onions), diet Pepsi. Senior rate leaves me perfect amount for tip. At least twice a month is the norm.

Either a 3 way and cheese coney with sweet tea OR a Chicken Bacon Ranch Wrap with a cheese coney and sweet tea.

4-way bean on a baked potato.

Loaded baked potato add spaghetti and hot dog with a Mountain Dew to drink.
