July 27, 20197 yr And Helen Reddy was the worst of the worst. “Ruby Red Dress/Leave Me Alone” may be the worst song of all time.
July 27, 20197 yr I remember seeing a poll one time about most annoying singer and I think Michael Bolton was #1 on the list. Makes me think of the line from the Bob and Tom song. "Man I'm glad I'm a man". "I find Michael Bolton completely revoltin', man I'm glad I'm a man"!
July 31, 20197 yr Train and Guns n Roses today. Yep...I should've had Axl Rose on my list. While I like a couple of G n' R tunes, the dude sounds like a cat in pain. Slash's guitar playing is the only thing that makes them bearable to me.
July 31, 20197 yr My taste is mostly older rock music but I do occasionally listen to some country. Luke Bryant is the latest singer that I’ve wondered how he made it in the Nashville music industry. Not much of a singer imo. But country’s history is riddled with head scratching wonders that made it big, such as Porter Wagner, Bill Anderson, Ernest Tubb, etc.
August 3, 20197 yr The first two that popped into my head: Celine Dion, Sam Smith, Barry Gibb, Bono, Kid Rock, Don Henley/The Eagles, Pink, Bret Michaels, Billy Joe Armstrong....yeesh I could go on. Realistically, you can add most anyone who has been on the MTV Video Music Awards in the last 20 years or so, or anyone who's ever been or the CMT Music Awards. Just go ahead and say it. You can't stand any popular singers. :bunny: I know people think that's the case with me, but it really isn't true. Where's Jim Schue? This is his favorite topic, lol. “You rang, sir?” So yeah, here’s the top of the list: Don Henley Axl Rose Garth Brooks Those are my worst offenders. I’ve also developed a pretty stout hate of John Anderson, even though I like some of his songs. But too much exposure to his incessantly and overly nasally and awful “Seminole Wind” makes me want to choke him.

August 3, 20197 yr Has John Anderson done anything is the past decade? I assumed his career was over. Not that I’m aware of. I just hate how he sounds on that stupid song, which gets played all the time on the in-store play at the bar I moonlight at.
August 4, 20197 yr Not that I’m aware of. I just hate how he sounds on that stupid song, which gets played all the time on the in-store play at the bar I moonlight at. You mean this one Jim?
August 4, 20197 yr "...blow, blow, Seminole Wind, blow like you're never going to blow again...you're calling to me like a long lost friend, and I know who you are..."
August 5, 20197 yr You mean this one Jim? Never minded this one much. It's the one below that grates on me. "...blow, blow, Seminole Wind, blow like you're never going to blow again...you're calling to me like a long lost friend, and I know who you are..."
August 10, 20197 yr Axl Rose -- the only thing worse than his singing is his dancing. Someone shoot me before he stands (actually sits) in with AC DC again. Ozzy Osborne -- even before he got old, the worst live singer you'll hear unless you like to hear someone singing under pitch. His stage presence also borders on looking like a toddler trying to get attention. Like when he claps and tries to get the crowd into it. Good thing he was excellent at picking lead guitarists. He played with some great ones. Vince Neil -- He tries, he really does. It can be painful listening to a live performance.
