NCC by 1 point.

1 point more than your opponent is all it takes. However, imo, Ncc will have a lot more than that.

Good luck to both teams, NCC bring home the hardware.

I just was checking out and comparing win loss records, and NCC has 5 losses. 2 of the teams (Beechwood abd Holy Cross) they came back and beat in the playoffs. The other three teams that beat them are all playing in the state semi-final games. That I thought was pretty interesting.:scared: :thumb:

Good points, however the Jumpers opponents are not much worse, Danville still playing with Franklin Co. and Southwestern having lost 2 very close games to teams still alive. Plus Howie is wearing his purple shirt tonight on Deal or No Deal. It is an Omen!!!! Gotta be the Jumpers tomorrow night!

If Somerset had a better/ more proven rushing attack they would have a very good chance against NCC... but they don't. Secondly, Somerset's defense has not seen an offense on the same level of NCC"s for balance in a long time... no mountain 1A team can prepare you for NCC.

I see Somerset putting up more points and yards than the NCC faithful would be comfortable with, but I can't see Somerset dictating the game tempo.

NCC 35

Somerset 20

They're a little better than last year. He has time. The running game may bite them, though. If Newell was still there, this would be a really scary team. I don't think they've played a common opponent all year.

Look for Hunter to help the Jumpers sneak up on NCC. I'll take the Jumpers in a nail biter 32-31

I'm not sure if Somerset will/can win tonight. However, one number keeps jumping out at me--311. As in passing yards that Raceland put up next week. I know Raceland had a fine team this year but I don't think they have 2 players as good as Deaton and Cole. Somerset made a very good Harlan defense look pedestrian and simply dissected a Hazard defense that had held what was supposed to be "the best team in the mountains" in Pikeville to 14 points. If you want to look at things objectively, NCC lost to Belfrey in a squeeker. Belfrey barely beat Pikeville. Somerset beat a Hazard team that defeated Pikeville on its home field by a comperable score to what Pikeville defeated Hazard earlier. One would be short-sighted to think that Somerset couldn't play NCC close based on these scores. Deaton is quicker to run when pressed this year and in spite of the score last year, Somerset gave the Breds some trouble especially when he scrambled. They just failed to finish off drives. I can't really decide on a score but I just don't see this one being a blow out.

NewCath 42, Somerset 27 ... something like that.

That Belfry game was the first game of the season with a brand new QB. I am sure NCC is better now than they were on the first game of the season. I think NCC will be to much for somerset. I am going with last years score NCC 35 Somerset 10.

NewCath played Somerset last year in the semi's. They know how good Deaton and the passing game are. Somerset will not sneak up on NewCath, the 'Breds have too much respect for their passing game to do that.

Hunter is their running back! He was out most of the season, but now back, and making a diff. with the run threat.

I agree. You cannot compare scores. It always gets you in trouble.

Example: Raceland over Ashland, Ashland over Belfry, Belfry over NCC

= NCC 46 Raceland 27

Hey NewCath fans it is about time for you to start heading south to beautiful Lake Cumberland area. Please have a safe drive here and back home. I can't wait for this game and hope you bring a big student section they are always fun to watch.

Jumpers get ready we will have to be at our best and you can do it!!!!
