Rams 26 Saints 23 (OT)

Imagine the uproar if he forced them to either play again this week or ruled the Saints the winners...the NFL would crash and burn.

He would NEVER do it but I think what would have to happen is start the game at the time and yard line where the PI happened. Basically play the last 1:40 or so. So the Saints would take 3 knees and kick the FG with less than 10 seconds to go. Unless Lutz, one of the best kickers in the league, missed a 20-25 yard FG with the ball centered up for him, the replay would be 4 plays...maybe 5 with the kickoff.

Outside of blatant and admitted cheating by an official, that would literally never happen.

But, it would be incredible to watch as a spectator, not being a fan of either team. :lol2:

I really, really, really wish Goodell would've attended this game instead of the AFC one. Put him right on the spot then and there.

And do what exactly?

Squirm. Be uncomfortable. Realize that it's going to hit the fan. :lol2:

I’d definitely watch if they were forced to play another game.

It has come out that the 4 officials most responsible for making that call are all from Southern California. Not a good look at all.

Only a bad look if anyone truely believes their was a preplanned conspiracy.

I don’t believe there was a conspiracy but I do believe it’s a bad look. And for what it’s worth, the NFL thinks it’s a bad look too.

You'd think they'd look at that before assigning refs for games. That said, the Rams have only been back in SoCal for a very short time.

Imo it’s put a tainted look to the Rams Super Bowl appearance. A trip to the Super Bowl should be the best feeling in the football world (winning it even more) but that game’s ending and beyond unbelievable no-call is going to be getting more publicity during Super Bowl lead-up than the Rams playing in the championship game.

Imagine the conspiracies that will come out if they find out one of the refs went to Vegas in the past year. :lol2:

The Saints have to be more prepared. THey should have known this and thrown to the other side of the field during critical moments in the game.

RE: The refs being from Southern California = conspiracy theory crowd.

"Southern California" is comprised of about 25,000,000 people and extends quite a ways. The north part (not sure where these guys live) is more likely 49er or Raider territory. We are not talking the LA urban here. Regardless, most people that live in LA didn't grow up in LA. Ever seen a Rams or Chargers game in LA? They are virtually road games for these teams.

I think this is all kind of ridiculous thinking that these officials conspired against the Saints. Why risk a career doing that? They were assigned to the game and the dude simply blew that call near the end of the game. Reprimand him for messing up, but not for being from Southern California.
