Everyone on here is so fixated with OSU but GA should have been in over ND, 8 days a week and OSU should have been in over ND, 7 days a week.
December 30, 20187 yr Notre Dame’s schedule wasn’t the issue. They played a pretty decent schedule. They had the toughest schedule of any of the 4 playoff teams. This more then anything proves that SOS is vastly overrated. Sure Notre Dame's schedule looks good on paper (No buy games), but nobody will convince me Notre Dame goes undefeated against the same schedule that Bama, Oklahoma, Ohio St, and Georgia played.
December 30, 20187 yr I'm fine with those that say ND was overrated. They got the butts whipped. No way OSU is better. ND would have never lost to Purdue much less been destroyed by them. If you think OSU deserved to be in over ND, I got some oceanfront realty for you in Nebraska.

December 30, 20187 yr Clemson was clearly the better team. I know that many felt that Georgia should have been in, but with Notre Dame going undefeated, they earned their way in IMO. With a four team playoff, that’s why winning your games is critical. With saying that, I strongly believe that this season has made a clear point that the playoff needs to include eight teams.
December 30, 20187 yr Let’s be honest. They could expand to 8 or 16, but it’s still going to be Alabama and Clemson. They’re on a different level, especially when they get a month to prepare. Look at what Alabama is doing to Oklahoma right now.

Saying ND wouldn’t have lost to Purdue doesn’t prove in any way that ND is better unless you for some reason believe Purdue is a better team than Ohio State instead of Ohio State having a horrible game.
