Brady and Belichick would NOT have had the same success if they were in Cincinnati or Washington. Could explain what a good situation is then, in your estimation? January 1, 20197 yr It's really only an issue if they would have lost this week. They didn't, so for now AB is a non issue. I agree with you JD far more than not...but I cannot agree with you on this one. When one of your best players (if not THE best player) does not play in a game because he throws a ball at the franchise QB and refuses to practice the week before a MUST WIN game, that is far from a "non issue". It will be very interesting to see how the Steelers deal with this.

It's a culture created from the ownership on down and how things are run. Maybe everyone has caught up now but I'll never forget the Bengals DB (Artrell Hawkins?) who went to New England. He was on the radio and said it was night and day between here and there. Simple stuff like food and stuff provided to the players and how business-like the meetings and organization was. Belichick didn't win in Cleveland and Brady and Belichick would not have won anywhere. They're a great duo but it's a trio with Kraft included.

January 2, 20197 yr I agree 100% with Grant. Tomlin has been the beneficiary of a great organization and a HOF QB. There isn't an employed coach in the league who has directly cost his team as many games as he has. He has created a loathsome culture of drama, turmoil, and dissent; from his assistant coaches, Harrison, Bell, Brown and others. He lost his team when he disgracefully threw a respected Army Veteran under the bus regarding the flag protests last year. Much like his critical game situation decisions, that could not have been handled worse ! I hope the Steelers keep him.
January 2, 20197 yr Tomlin seems to be a player's first coach, to a fault. At some point the players end up ruling the lockerroom, and that is what you have in Pittsburgh. This season had doom written all over it when you have the organization (from the head officials down to the players) counting La'Veon's money. Whether they were right or wrong, that is something you do not publicly do... especially the further down the ladder you go.

Except when you said he lost his team with what he said during the flag protest. Even the players on the team said they werent exactly thrilled he went out there on his own, when the team had agreed to stay in the lockerroom. Now you may have disagreed with what Tomlin said about it, but I disagree with you that it had any impact on losing the team or not as you stated due to that.

Didn't hear from him again until his agent told Tomlin on Sunday morning he was ready to go. Left the stadium early Sunday. Never went and got the MRI Tomlin asked him to do. Didn't show up to meetings on Monday. Train-wreck.

January 2, 20197 yr I think it’s safe to say at this point AB has played his last game for the Steelers. 2/3 of the killer B’s will now be gone and Big Ben is obviously close to retirement. Crazy how things can change so fast.
