macdon Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 Right before the early signing date. Bad optics Satterfield.
theguru Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 Right before the early signing date. Bad optics Satterfield. Who have they yanked and did they give any reasons?
TheDeuce Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 It’s bad optics to tell a kid you didn’t recruit he would be better suited playing elsewhere? Haters gonna hate.
TheDeuce Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 Who have they yanked and did they give any reasons? Pulled an offer from a kid from Larue County because they didn’t offer him... Makes perfect sense and happens with most coaching changes.
Irish Cat Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 This used to bother me, but considering that high school kids no longer seem to understand the definition of the word committed, I don't really care anymore.
TheDeuce Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 Who's did they take? Several, but I’m sure this is about Anthony Adkins.
GrantNKY Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 This is nothing. So a new coaching staff doesn’t want the same guys Petrino recruited, this isnt a surprise. This happens almost every time a new coach is hired anywhere. If you think Satterfield is in the wrong here, you were probably just looking for a reason to knock Louisville.

DragonFire Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 Several, but I’m sure this is about Anthony Adkins. macdon is a Franklin-Simpson guy - it's about Jack Randolph. Per this story in the Courier-Journal (Louisville football staff revokes recruit scholarship offers), the part related to Randolph was: "Randolph said he received a call from recruiting staffer Pete Nochta, who informed him that “they were just looking to go in a different direction offensive line-wise, and told me I didn’t have the length or the weight to play in their system, so they pulled their scholarship," Randolph said." I agree, it happens with coaching changes. It's unfortunate for basically everyone. For the record, Jack Randolph is 6'4", 285 lbs. I'm interested in what their system calls for.
John Anthony Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 4 scholly players right now with 1 probably gonna flip to UK. If you ever wanted to walk-on to UL, now is your time.

Wait a minute...you two are agreeing? Hold on, I need to sit down for this. :lol2:
dognation2 Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 Recruiting is one of the most cut throat businesses there is. No one can really be trusted; it is the nature of the beast. Most of us really don't want to know what REALLY goes on with our beloved football teams. This stuff happens all the time.

Regardless of who it's about, saying it's bad optics that a new coaching staff informs a kid he'd be better suited somewhere else is just hating. Happens all the time. The same people complaining about this would be crying if UofL let him come and never gave him the opportunity to play.
