Is that what Notre Dame is left with? Fans who don’t even think they are better than Clemson? Come on man the Irish are good for one of the few times since 1988. This board should be filled with ND fans telling us how great you all are for the next month until the game. Why even be a fan if you are going to be so pessimistic in the good times? I’m just messing with you man, but seriously have a little faith in your Irish.

 

It's just football, not my life. I'm honest. Doesn't mean I don't think they can win, but at this point I think Clemson is a better team, hence being ranked ahead of them.

I see Clemson pulling away late. A whole lot of experience playing in this big of an environment on the Clemson sideline. I think ND holds it close for a while, but Clemson pours it on in the 2nd half.

I'm going with Clemson. Unlike most if you though, I think this will be a battle.

This is where I am. I think Clemson pulls away but they're not the machine they've been in years past. A decidedly lousy ACC helped them greatly this season.

The game from a couple seasons ago in the monsoon still haunts me. Notre Dame had Clemson beat and let them off the hook.

I could certainly say the same thing about Notre Dames schedule. It was great on paper but just look at it from a whole. Michigan, Stanford, Virginia Tech, Florida State, and USC all are big names on paper and before the season but everyone dramatically underachieved. It got to the point where Syracuse and Northwestern are the 2nd and 3rd best wins on your schedule. Thats nothing special. And yes I know Northwestern is also Ohio States 3rd best win. Because despite a bunch of big time programs on that schedule it’s a whole lot of nothing besides Michigan on Notre Dames schedule. I’d say the same thing about Clemson. Their schedule is crap. What’s NDs signature road win though? At Northwestern? Which was probably 60% ND fans anyways? I’m not sure ND goes into Happy Valley and wins that game. Penn State isn’t great, but they are a different team in a white out. Hell I’m still not convinced they beat Michigan if they played week 13 instead of week 1. All that said I agree with you on ND/ Georgia. Notre Dame is a better team than Georgia and I’m not sure it’s close. Georgia lost their two biggest games of the year including a bad loss to LSU. But I can also say that while Notre Dame is more well rounded than Ohio State and Oklahoma, both are so dynamic on offense that I think they would both beat Notre Dame. However, I do think you matchup well against Clemson. At the end of the day college football is all about matchups.

 

Well here is why OSU fans cant say they would go undefeated with Notre Dames schedule. OSU the last 2 years have shown they have a tendency to go on a road to a bad to average team and get corn stomped. So chances are they may have lost on the road to a bad Virginia Tech team at night in that tough environment. Because OSU has shown to let down in games like that.

I don’t disagree. That’s a cross OSU has to carry until proven otherwise.

I think Clemson gets the win, but my feelings certainly wouldn't be hurt if they lost. :lol2:

ND needs to keep this game close. I haven't watched enough of them to say they will or they won't. But for the national narrative moving forward; they need to keep this game close. The last time they were on this stage, it was embarrassing to say the least. The next time, they won't get the benefit of doubt.
