But even so, Brohm wasn't very good tonight. That INT was horrible. I remember the announcers even saying after one throw that it was all Brohm on that one. ( I think overthrowing #85, went blank on his name)

Brohm was hit by a Louisville player as he released the ball, but I'm not sure I would say that caused the INT. I am sure it happened.

Here is what UL fans should be worried about: It is one thing when a defense confuses the OL and they miss assignments, however tonight they were just gettting beat on many one on one blocks. Although RU did confuse UL at times, most of the sacks and hurries were just because the OL was getting beat. Also, I couldn't help but to notice that RU seemed to know exactly what was going to happen everytime Brohm changed the play at the LOS. RU had done their homework.

Hopefully Bama can spoil All Barn's chances at the NT...

But unless RU gets a lot of help, it appears that all the hoopla will be for nothing. At least no one is arguing this year that the Beast doesn't deserve to be a part of the BCS. I still think that they need to find some other football playing membes. IMO an 8 team BCS conference is pretty weak.

I don't know about outcoached. At some point players have to make plays, and Louisville's line was flatout outplayed. I also wouldn't call Brohm confused so much as battered.

You are correct in this statement as well ram, I just thought that Rutgers made adjustments and Petrino did nothing. UL had the Kick return and they made two big pass plays in te first half or imo this thing would had been much worse.

I think the goal this season is accomplished. Let's be real. They replaced The U/Va Tech/BC with UL/UC/USF, and had to deal with the entire nation wanting them out of the BCS period. Now it's keeping them out of the CHAMPIONSHIP? Job well done Mr Tranghese...

In 2 weeks Louisville had it's biggest win in school history & Rutgers has it's biggest win in school history.

 

Brohm went 13-for-27 for 163 yards with a TD and an interception. He also was sacked five times

Whether it was his brother or head coach, (and if his brother is that hard on him then he must be used to getting screamed at every game--funny how it was only shown tonight) Brohm did not get it done tonight. The line play was bad but he got exposed for what he is:(I know it hurts but its true) a good college quarterback in a great offensive system. There are 10-15 quarterbacks that could have the success that Brohm does in Petrino's system. Its just that tonight, for one game, Petrino couldn't adjust and was just out schemed. Take away the huge special teams advantage and Louisville was beaten soundly on the offensive and defensive sides of the ball. Rutgers is a good team and I salute their efforts but they are not one of the elite teams in college football. I guess this just proves ESPN's point that UL, WVU, Boise St. and Rutgers all have good teams with talented player that just don't quite have the horses on the line to win one of the power conferences. This is a really good Rutgers team, not a great one, if Louisville was truly a national title worthy team and had the talent up front they would have overcome Rutger's scheme.

I agree with you they have made great strides, I know it won't happen overnight, but I just believe that they got two find at least 2 more conference members to make winning the Beast a little more meaningful.

 

Personally I would like to see all BCS conferences get to 12 and have championship games to even the field somewhat. If they won't have a playoff, at least everyone should have to go through the same qualifing process so to speak. I realize that it not that easy to go out and find another worthy member.
