I dont think you can really blame Brohn. Also, while I believe the O'line deserves a lot of credit for the poor play, I believe Rutger's defense kept the offense confused the entire 2nd half.

I think coaching has something to do with that.

 

I also think Bush would have been a big difference tonight for UL.

Whether it was his brother or head coach, (and if his brother is that hard on him then he must be used to getting screamed at every game--funny how it was only shown tonight) Brohm did not get it done tonight. The line play was bad but he got exposed for what he is:(I know it hurts but its true) a good college quarterback in a great offensive system. There are 10-15 quarterbacks that could have the success that Brohm does in Petrino's system. Its just that tonight, for one game, Petrino couldn't adjust and was just out schemed. Take away the huge special teams advantage and Louisville was beaten soundly on the offensive and defensive sides of the ball. Rutgers is a good team and I salute their efforts but they are not one of the elite teams in college football. I guess this just proves ESPN's point that UL, WVU, Boise St. and Rutgers all have good teams with talented player that just don't quite have the horses on the line to win one of the power conferences. This is a really good Rutgers team, not a great one, if Louisville was truly a national title worthy team and had the talent up front they would have overcome Rutger's scheme.

A good line is more important than a great RB, even Barry Sanders never made all the difference he could have because of the line he played behind in Detroit. Tonight, Louisville didn't have a good line.

Uh, several. I didn't get student tickets this year, because they went on sale two days after I bought my Harley and I couldn't afford them, but I've had them the past several years.

 

At least 15 since my freshman year, without thinking about it. And like I said, if I wasn't watching them in person, I watched it either on live television or taped.

How many times did Rutgers run the toss dive with success? I don't recall ever seeing that type of toss once much less for most of the 2nd half...

I just now got the chance to get a break at work and post. I'm really disappointed in the loss. I was hoping to see a Kentucky team play for a National Championship. It doesn't surprise me one bit though to see how many pages we have on this thread already though. At least 4 more pages than we had at the same time last week after UofL beat WVU. What was it somebody said last week? Something along the lines of what you do expect, it's 1am on a Friday morning. I think this thread has proven my point last week.

RUTGERS is the big story in November. Amazing...

Great ending to a great game. Rutgers defense decided they wanted it more than UofLs offense at the half and the just dominated. Brohm didn't have a chance to get anything going in the 2nd half.

 

 

UofL is a very good team, and all the Louisville fans, while disappointed, should be extremely proud of this team. They accomplished something IMO that is more important than the NC appearance, they brought national respect to the program and the state of Kentucky as a football state. I just wanna contragulate UofL on what has been so far a great season, and I really do hope they get the BEast BCS bid because I really do believe they are the best team in that conference.

I think Bush would have gotten more yards after contact and got UL's offense in a little better shape and offset the problem with the O-line a little bit.

Petrino should be on the phone this morning with Brad Durham to offer him his scholarship back.. Looks like the Cards could use some good linemen...:sssh:
