Great music artists that aren’t great to you

Lots of Nirvana listed. Very curious as to the age of those that dislike them. Seems like if you're over 50 now it wouldn't have worked for you, no different than my opinions of recent bands.

 

I'm 41.

 

The alternative music of the 90's was in my wheelhouse, but I was always turned off by Nirvana.

Unpopular opinion but U2 may be the most overrated band of my lifetime.

 

Their music doesn't survive the test of time like other artists of their time period. It isn't sampled by current artists, it isn't covered into current hits, you don't see any of their songs used in commercials.

 

U2 is the musical equivalent to Meryl Streep. Critics rave over their product when the consumer thinks it's mostly pretentious crap.
