theguru
Could it have been the ISS? I have the "Night Sky" app which tells me when it is going to fly over, so I have stayed out to see it a few times. It appears like a bit brighter star which moves from horizon to horizon in minutes. The only reason I believe it would change appearance would be due to some high clouds. Totally sounds like it. @doomer @theguru Here ya go! Great! Thanks! @True blue (and gold) and I discussed this privately several months ago and came to the conclusion the timing/day/places in the sky ruled out it being the ISS. I only bring this up because I did observe the ISS go overhead last night (9-19-19 from 846pm EDT to 851pm EDT). What an amazing thing to see in the sky. However, the ISS was maybe 20% (at most) as bright as what I saw in the sky last October and what I saw was much bigger (larger in diameter) than the ISS. What I saw in the sky last October was at least 25% as bright as a full moon.
