Some VERY questionable moves by the coaches late...Kelly going for it from his own 36 on 4th down with over six minutes left (did not work at all) and Fickell going for it twice in the last two minutes when a chip shot field goal puts them up 5 (did work perfectly). Kelly will not sleep well tonight after his decision blew up on him...

Just imagine if UC had been prepared for this game, right @plantmanky ?

Good for UC. I am not a big UC fan but for some reason I find myself rooting for Fickell to have success there. I am glad to see them get this win.

Chip had a quick hook for Wilton Speight. Should have just went with DTR anyways. DTR is exactly the type of QB Chip had at Oregon.

Honestly, I thought he played both of those just right. The first one was what, less than a yard? If you can't get that distance (especially when you've been running the way they had in that game), then you don't deserve to win. As to the second one, when it was fourth and goal from the 3 or 4...he sent the FG unit out. It wasn't until the defensive penalty put the ball inside the two that he went for it. Too much "reward" for the risk...get a TD and put the game out of reach...heck, even if they turn it over on downs, you're going to have the UCLA QB setting up in his own end zone to start, and they'd still have to go close to 70 yards to be in FG range. Granted, hindsight is always 20/20, but I think he played those two instances perfectly.
