I believe Covington Catholic's streak of running clocks versus Kentucky opponents currently stands at 14. Here are the remaining Kentucky opponents on their schedule:

8/31 at Cooper

9/14 Beechwood

10/12 at Highlands

10/19 Dixie Heights

10/26 Campbell County

Can any of these teams stop the streak? Make your pick in the poll and comment.

Cooper has a shot, I feel like Highlands has the best shot. But we will know a lot more about Highlands after this Friday.

Really not sure if you will know more about Highlands, after Friday or not. Scott County just plays a different brand of football Offensively and Defensively than any other team that Highlands will play. Not saying SC will beat them or what they do is better than anyone else, it's just something different you do not see every Friday night.

Of the teams listed, IMO the only one with less of a shot at stopping the streak than Cooper is Dixie. I think Highlands, Beechwood and Campbell County all have a better chance of stopping the streak than Cooper.

Go Beechies.

Heard there was going to be a massive tailgate for both schools at the Days Inn on Dixie Highway before the game for both schools?

Highlands is the only school on the list with a shot at it. If they don't do it, the streak will end in the playoffs.

I say Beechwood has the best shot.

I say Beechwood has the best shot.

CCH will pick apart Beechwood's secondary.

That may be true, but this is the best Beechwood team in my opinion in a long time.

Beechwood & Highlands, CovCath will beat both of those teams, just no running clock.

I could see Beechwood having enough success on offense to avoid a running clock. I think they could put some points on the board and hold on to the ball long enough to stay within 3-4 scores of CovCath.

I know other's have said that, but I'm not seeing/buying that yet.

This.

Beechwood, Highlands and Campbell County will all have a shot at no running clock.

A few observations:

1. At some point, the Sophomore QB will play like a Soph. Against who, that's the question.

2. Beechwood and Campbell County are really well coached on the defensive side of the ball.

3. Campbell County will rally around first year head coach Mike Woolf when he goes up against his alma mater.

Cov Cath wins all three, but I could see them being a lot closer than some people think.

This is where I am at but none of us really know just how good those three teams are yet so it is hard to say if any of them can be competitive with the Colonels.
