March 28, 20188 yr Saving Private Ryan is my #1, closely followed by Enemy at the Gates, Band of Brothers (if that counts as a movie), Blackhawk Down, Lone Survivor and 12 Strong.
March 28, 20188 yr Kelly's Heros is probably my all time favorite, followed closely by Saving Private Ryan. Have to mention Force 10 from Navarone, one of my favs and I didn't see it mentioned yet.

March 29, 20188 yr Forrest Gump Apocalypse Now Platoon The Patriot Glory Not sure why, but I never considered Forrest Gump a war movie. Many elements of it dealt with the Vietnam War (outside of the scenes in Vietnam), but I never viewed it like that for whatever reason. I guess because the central theme of it was about him and not the war itself.

Yeah, probably stretching the definition of "war movie" including it, but it's one of my favorite movies so I like to include it on as many lists as I can. :lol2:
