Drew Barker Transferring From UK

Featured Replies

Woodson may have been developed. Couch and Lorenzen were natural talents IMO.

They still have to be developed and had they been flops the line would be have been that UK can't develop QB's. Again there is not enough evidence to suggest Barker couldn't have been really good had he been given a fair chance. And again, what QB did Spurrier develop while at S. Carolina? Hell he couldn't even make it through a season without switching between two guys. Yes, he had some good ones at UF but his time at SC was a mess regarding the QB position.

Brenan Kuntz hands down more athletic than both.

Only Kentucky kid I remember starting fights at EKU and putting UK on lock down.

Ha Ha, you must not have been around for the Fran Curci days

I can't remember a Kentucky kid, who came to UK, get as slammed and hated on as Barker.

I hope he goes somewhere that fits him and has great success.

"Fit" is the key.

Wonder if Troy is a potential destination.

Same here. I’m looking forward to seeing his choice.

Oh good lord. I knew it was only a matter of time before you inserted Kuntz into this conversation. I think we all saw that coming.

Barker, with only a year of eligibility remaining, will be an interesting case study. How many schools want a single year player? Are there schools that return a ton of experience but would like a quarterback? Much like Towles, single-year players are curious cases.

Someone here at my work said the QB graduates and they have one Soph and one Frosh on the roster.

Also wasn't Neal Brown a big reason Barker came here?

Can Barker not go for a medical redshirt for last season?

I'm looking forward to Kuntz taking over for Tom Brady next year.

Are you kidding? We all know Kuntz is destined to be a Steeler.

Nebraska.

Which means absolutely nothing. Unless you wanted to know which one would play a different position if they were all on the same team because Kuntz could have moved to wr and been a good wr for either Barker or Morgan.
