I think "a certain fan base" is completely validated in their 25 state titles.

For what it is worth, I don't care how X goes about their search. To my way of thinking, any school should look for the best candidate for the job. If the best candidate is from Missouri, New Hampshire or even an X guy, so be it.

 

As far as Coach Wolford, he represented X with dignity. If the only criticism is that he couldn't beat Trinity, he isn't alone. Way back when he was hired, Billy Reed gave a spot on prediction of how the Wolford era at X would go. It is worth reading.

I am actually with you on this one. Let them do their thing, my only criticism with Wolford was the fact that they started him a year too soon as HC. Glaser deserved to be the coach in 13 where they probably would have won state.

If coach Ty were to get the job, he would bring along his son, a very good football and an even better baseball player.

I guess it shows they think pretty highly of themselves if they never want to go outside their X circle to hire anyone.

I absolutely agree.

 

He understands more about Kentucky football than most (all?) candidates coming from out of state jobs would. He knows what it takes to win in Kentucky. He knows how to coach and win with a top-level program that attracts top-level D1 talent. He knows how to conduct himself and his within the system of a large private/Catholic school. If John Rodenberg hasn't contacted St. X, St. X needs to contact John Rodenberg.

GCL guy. He was Cov Cath's head coach in 2005 and 2006 (the Colonels won the 3A championship in '06). He's been skipper at Moeller for 10 years. Won the Ohio D-I championship with Moeller in '12 and '13.

Chuck was Highlands top candidate until a week ago so I hope X hires him so they can slow down the T-Train and give us a chance to re-group and catch back up on that title thingy...

 

Curious as I truly have no idea, why the coaching change? Looking for real answers not disrespectful ones
