Perhaps you could show me what was being said because CCH has had down years and I never remember lots of parents doing things like the equivalent of emailing the school board (or anyone in charge at CovCath) trying to get a coach fired, putting enough pressure on a coach that he needed to email the CCH community, hashtags like #MHFGA (#MCCHFGA), or anything like that.

I did, against my best judgement, and it sounds like it was just a few upset parents that may or may not have even been true and just something being stirred up by someone from Beechwood trying to cause drama.

 

However, if you even look at some of the posts from that thread, like

 

Coach Wirth has improved the team and the program each of the past 2 years. Is it where CovCath fans want or expect it to be? NO. Are there disgruntled parents and players? yes there are. Are there disgruntled parents at Beechwood, Ryle, Highlands etc. yes there are. Are the administration and boosters of CovCath doubting or losing faith in Coach Wirth? No

 

CovCath expectations are very high, so there will always be those who are unhappy with a 6-6 season, including Coach Wirth. Do the vast majority of CovCath faithful feel things are heading in the right direction, I would say yes.

 

People, stop replying to this thread. It's obviously made up to get a rise out of people, from someone so close to the program they can't spell Coach Wirth's name correctly. Don't dignify it with a response.

 

This past Friday I missed the Cov Cath/JC football game because I spent Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at a retreat center up in Ohio with 32 of the senior Colonels helping lead a Christian Awakening retreat. None of the football Colonels were there - obviously - but there were several of them that showed up at the retreat closing in the cafeteria at Cov Cath last night following the retreat. I talked with several of them, and several of their parents, and heard nothing but praise and hope for the Cov Cath football program...not one single negative word about the football program, or the coaches running it.

 

Would I doubt that there's a parent or two out there who's angry because "their boy didn't get a state ring"? Not one bit. Any truth to the "Park Hills Mafia wanting Wirth's head after CCH's unsuccessful year"? Not one bit.

 

Then you'll see that it was a non-issue and nowhere near what is happening in Fort Thomas.

 

Did you even believe what you posted or were you just hoping that I'm too brain damaged to realize that it was wrong or to go look it up?

This thread is about Highlands keeping Coach Weinrich as their football head coach. If you want to start a different discussion, feel free to start another thread, like always. This thread needs to stay on topic though.

Whole lotta people that seem to know what should have been done in certain coaching situations. I look for there to be quite a few applicants to submit their resumes whenever the job does open up.

 

Would be a waste of time to apply. These coaches know now they are untouchable. I had a certain coach tell me in August that if this season goes bad than they are out of a job next season. He said he was even "fine tuning" his resume. But now with having a horrible season these coaches are going to be there for a lifetime. The admin doesn't have the guts to hold anyone accountable.

Ok this is the stuff that really bothers me and reinforces my opinion that Brian is failing miserably at the small things as with his leadership skills

 

I see a football player today and I ask him how things are going etc ect. I asked him how the mood has been with winter weights so far and with the recent dog and pony show last week.

 

Iam anticipating an answer like, “awesome with an incredible amount of excitement and energy” but unfortunately that’s what he said.

 

He told me that Brian still is not attending weights as their head coach.

 

Is it me or when a man is attacked and his job is on the line wouldn’t you step up.

 

The same kids in that weight room are the same kids that wrote letters of support and even threatened to boycott etc and the very same “father figure” “leader” “great guy” and so on can’t repay and respect his players by going to practice and supporting those that supported him less than a week ago

I’ll chime in on the HC not being at winter weights. My last two years at NewCath we were 2-8, 3-7. In my years of winter weights our HC wasn’t at one day. The assistants did all the work. Our HC was the AD as well, and may of had other things going on but I have to agree it’s huge that the HC atleast shows face and some slaps on the back

I don't see how they can possibly have increased 50% in 4 years.

 

I stand corrected it was 1100 increase in just over a decade...since 2004.

I don’t know who you are or do I care. I am telling my people to stay strong and do not buckle under pressure to those ppl that do not matter in this whole thing.

 

I heard first hand that the private meeting between administrators was very uncomfortable for Coach which eventually succumbed him to tears, that is just wrong.

 

There are some very mean people out there that just don’t get it but I do understand the upset boosters that were thrown under the bus.

 

And yes they were threatening emails

I would have to think Dale was showing his face in the weight room. I know he used to run wind sprints with them in practice.
