Those Sr,Jr,and Soph still were drinking Dales koolaid. Heck BW still was following Dales philosphy that he learned which ultimately helped him win his one and only State Championship.

 

The koolaid has gone hard, the current players don't even know who Dave Mullins was and they think that the best part of Friday nights is to get their snack and juice box at Dixie Chili after a game because they deserve it.

No you are wrong there. Weights and workouts have started with 1 coach(not HC) back in Nov when they were eliminated after 2nd round.

 

I am saying KHSAA rules probably do not allow for a team organization prior to the start of the new year. I may be wrong though. I am unfamiliar with finishing that early in the season we only won championships.

So what you’re saying is that when the talent is there, BW meets expectations. Pretty much solidified the point that the talent hasn’t been there the past couple seasons. Got it.

The 3 losses suffered this year up multiple scores with 5:00 or less in the game had Zero to do with talent. Win those 3 games and they more than likely finish 9-4 and this is a mute point. I think one of the biggest complaints is Brian Weinrich doesn't prepare his kids to have a fighting chance at times and then before they know whats going on it's too late. And when things go wrong they go wrong very fast. Sort of like watching a brush fire and the coaches only have a garden hose to put it out when the Cadillac pumper truck is parked nearby with the keys in it. Yep we get it.

Let’s see, it’s like Dale teaching all of his coaches how to ride a bike. Heck they got so confident they even rode a wheelie in their first yr in charge and then something happened and they got their shoe laces caught in the sprocket and wrecked. Now they got back on but they keep falling off because they refuse to ride the bike the way Dale taught them

 

As for the talent if the coaches can’t ride the darn bike to practice then how will they ever be prepared to win. The kids are there but only one coach is there and that is because he never forgets how to ride that bike

Much to the disappointment to some of us here, what we discuss on BGP doesn't affect how our favorite team performs.

When Dale coached there wasn't many that played other sports so there off season program you all talk about I'm sure was great. Times have changed the kids have changed, although HHS has talent they don't have near as much as when Dale was there. The kids have other interest and its not just about HHS football for them. Dale was a great coach but don't think for one second that he didn't have a ton of talent on both sides of the ball and you don't have to be from HHS to know that.

 

HHS is not the big fish anymore, so it maybe something many will have to get use to.
