I’ll chime in on the HC not being at winter weights. My last two years at NewCath we were 2-8, 3-7. In my years of winter weights our HC wasn’t at one day. The assistants did all the work. Our HC was the AD as well, and may of had other things going on but I have to agree it’s huge that the HC atleast shows face and some slaps on the back

 

Especially after the failed coup attempt right?

 

Iam not going to get in a debate but I have no sympathy for any HC to use an excuse that they have other jobs and responsibilities because if they know this and it’s true then why accept the HC job in the first place.

 

At Highlands there is enough pressure and the demands are high to fulfill this HC job without distractions or an overload of other tasks. If anyone believes this job doesn’t require 110% of effort and attention then just look at the last 3 yrs of results because they confirm exactly what I am alluding to.

 

But then again another Highlands HC was both the AD and HC Plus he had a full load as a teacher but then again we shouldn’t compare anyone to Dale. He truly did make it look extremely easy from the outside looking in.

 

Not to beat a dead horse but it’s probably why the phrase “work harder” was so true despite the Highlands haters.

 

So with all of this said, I got to say “work harder Highlands” you aren’t working harder than your competition is

You are not getting off that easy. Tell us how you know that a plan was delivered/discussed. Also what does Karen Cheser know about devising a football plan. Amazing how this stuff gets out to the public when it should never leave the doors behind which it was discussed.

It would be nice if there was some sort of plan of action to right the ship. If so, who would it come from? School board, AD and Sup I would suppose right?

 

Hopefully they have the insight to put together something soon. Because I would assume everyone agrees something has to give. If not the coaches, then the way they coach and go about it. Because the players are not changing. They are what they are. So this one is on BW and his crew to get everything right.

Ok this is the stuff that really bothers me and reinforces my opinion that Brian is failing miserably at the small things as with his leadership skills

 

I see a football player today and I ask him how things are going etc ect. I asked him how the mood has been with winter weights so far and with the recent dog and pony show last week.

 

Iam anticipating an answer like, “awesome with an incredible amount of excitement and energy” but unfortunately that’s what he said.

 

He told me that Brian still is not attending weights as their head coach.

 

Is it me or when a man is attacked and his job is on the line wouldn’t you step up.

 

The same kids in that weight room are the same kids that wrote letters of support and even threatened to boycott etc and the very same “father figure” “leader” “great guy” and so on can’t repay and respect his players by going to practice and supporting those that supported him less than a week ago

No you are wrong there. Weights and workouts have started with 1 coach(not HC) back in Nov when they were eliminated after 2nd round.
