Doubtful, I do believe that they would have been average seasons for HHS football though under Dale. They would not have recorded the worst season ever in HHS history.

 

Many of those games would of been won before the Game even started. Dale made his kids believe they could win and losing wasn’t an Option. And Dale would of played the best Available talent in positions rather than use the Current staff’s #1 motto. #senioristis Entitlement is Bliss! And it screams on Friday Nights.

I see better than I hear.. I have seen terrible coaching for HHS for the last 3 years. I have seen leads lost in 3 games this year, I have seen a 1 round playoff loss last year. I have seen a coaching staff not make adjustments at half time, I have seen a coach be hired last year who is a offensive minded coach with plenty of coaching experience not be used to call the offense, I have seen a defense give up an average of 47 points per game, I have seen 10 running clocks on HHS, I have seen BW's teams not prepared to win, I have seen players in positions that they shouldn't be in, I have seen to many personal fouls in games, I have seen undisciplined football, I have seen plenty to believe that the current coaching staff isn't fit to coach Highlands Football.

CCH was the best team in 5A this year. The best team doesn't always win, it's the team that plays better that wins.( Yea CCH wins it.)

 

It's really hard to compare other head coaches to Dale. You know what I mean?

Weinrich is no Schneider as far as longevity goes. The point is he does have a pretty good track record of success and two bad years in a row can happen to any coach.

 

I will say that the atmosphere and vibes around the programs seem similar. I like BW. I hope it gets turned around for his sake but more importantly for the boys that I watched grow up dreaming of being at this point. It would make for a good story.

Not a fact. :lol2: He very well may have been all those things, but he didn’t coach the the teams the last three seasons. So saying they would have been better is “fact,” is “wrong.” Speculation at best.

BW is an excellent teacher, an excellent coach, and his kids love him. He's a teacher first, then a coach. If you fire BW, then you have to fire the basketball coaches because neither are winning at the rate they should. If not, then pony up $60,000 and hire a "football only" coach (which I'm sure some will be all for). Otherwise, be happy that you have great teachers and great coaches who care about their kids and work their tails off.

Didn't they lose two games when they didn't recover onside kicks in the final minutes? Do you know how much of a fluke that is? If they win 8 games and lose to the best team in the state in the playoffs, is this even a discussion?

Who is leaking info to the public regarding comments supposedly made by the coach? It has to be a limited number of people who knew what was said? School board? Principal?

Yeah you’re right. Two wrongs don’t make a right but I guess what’s good for the gander is good for the goose. I would rather we weren’t talking about Brian Weinrich retaining his job in the 1st place. Each and every post could potentially make the situation worse than it appears to a very small few. So someone mentioned earlier if there was going to be any Staff changes? Good gracious I hope so.
