We understand very clear so don't insult us on that.. Talent is there and has always been. Plenty of talent in the lower levels as well. We have 23 state championships so being "top dog" will always be in our favor. We who have worn the uniform and own a state ring just demand more out of the current coaching staff. We want the players to experience what we all have experienced. We take pride in Highlands Football, its just to bad others with in the administration don't.

Obviously you dont understand well if you think the talent was there the last few years to win a state title. It wasnt. Not even close.

So you believe there has been absolutely no decline in talent at Highlands over the last few seasons?

I will expand on the two records above even further.

 

A long tenured successful head coach at a school that demands success had these season records:

 

6-6

6-5

2-9

4-8

 

He wasn't fired. He wasn't told to resign. The school kept him as head coach.

 

The next two years after the 4-8 season, state runner-up. In the next 8 years this head coach won 2 state titles and was runner-up 4 times.

 

In the situation above, it looks like it was a pretty good move to keep the head coach.

 

Food for thought for all. We will find out in the next couple seasons which way this Highlands decision turns out.

If that was Coach Schneider then you have to take into account that there had been a long history of success before those lean years. Totally different than BW only having 4 years to go by with the last two being way below expectations. However, I am glad that the same decision was made as I do think he will achieve long term success if given the opportunity.

Yes and no. How many years has Weinrich been coaching at Highlands? How many years was he defensive coordinator before becoming head coach? He may not have a long track record of success as head coach but he has a long track record of success at Highlands.

I just got off the phone with Matt Haskamp. He just talked to the superintendent and they are going to retain us.

 

You have no idea the support we have gotten the last day and a half. I honestly think my phone is about to literally explode. My front door has been a revolving door with current and former players.

 

We have a tremendous responsibility, actually a wonderful opportunity to impact a lot guys in great way.

 

I am going to do everything I can to continue to improve in every aspect of being a leader and, oh yeah, beating Cov Cath.

I actually agree with you somewhat here but for different reasons. When you close your boarders, this is what happens.

 

Don't you get tired of posting this same line over and over? Please list by name and year all these outside guys you are referring to. Specifically kids that did not move into Fort Thomas school district that paid tuition to come to HHS.

This is spot on^ As someone said in the Last day or so that a lot of people run in the same circles. So here it goes. The things I'm hearing are just Unbelievable. Imagine your company making decisions that are normally made by Adults. A decision was made to relieve an employee of their duty based on his body of work. Not attendance but body of work! That employee was then so beat up that his mommy or in this case better half decided to take matter into her own hands. Remember we are making Adult decisions here. The better half decided that they would get the family or in this case the team to write the employer letters of support on how this employee is a good employee and how he would never do anything to hurt the company. The employer listened. The employer listened to a bunch of family members or in this case, teenagers! Kids and parents that are okay with being mediocre because of the Love they have for their Coach. I admire that but in order for a Company's success in the real world that most of us live in, things sometimes change. I'm a BirdDaddy but not a DumbDaddy. The way the District handled this is right out of a made up Storybook. Because I only have 2nd hand Info on this I cannot comment just now on how the District handled policy on this one. If indeed it's anywhere near what I'm hearing, then I would have to believe some District positions will be opening up starting at the top working down the ladder in the near future. Just my Opinion there is more to come out of this. This isn't just going to be the Employee keeping his job.
