Jackson was just as guilty as Jones in instigating the altercation, only he knew that he had made a mistake and Jones never did figure it out. Jones should have been tossed, either by the officials or his coach. Stoops did apologize for his behavior after the game, but should have apologized as well for putting him back in the game.

Love the way Snell plays and how he runs. That said, giving the "double Ls down" after scoring late to cut the lead from 34 to 28 was not a good look. Celebrate if you want, but don't call out your opponent in that situation.

Did they change the rule on linemen downfield on punts? Obviously talking about UK's rugby style punter (UofL didn't punt). With no rush by UofL, it seemed like the other 10 players were all 10+ yards downfield before the ball was punted.

Lamar isn’t innocent and he was Definitely the first to push, but Jones had no business getting in his face like he did either.

Even though most will say that the Cards offense was 'Lamar and a bunch of dudes' Louisville is still 3rd in the nation in total offense. Lets repeat that - third in the nation. Louisville was behind Oklahoma and Oklahoma State going into today.

 

Here is a way to gauge the top runners. If you were to switch Jackson and Baker ask this - would Louisville still be 3rd in total offense, and would Oklahoma still be 1 or 2? The answers are - probably not and probably so. Baker is a obviously a great pocket passer. But he is just a pocket passer.

 

The die is cast in favor of Baker, but it should not be.

There’s no doubt Jones has anger management issues. I hope he gets a handle on that in the future for his own sake.

The fact that Stoops left Jones in as long as he did while Jones was trying to do everything except stab someone just reinforces the type of discipline he instills in his team. Pathetic display and it falls all on Stoops.

Louisville has just been miles better defensively since they got healthy. I’d be lying if I said that didn’t concern me heading toward next year... but that’s next year’s problem.

 

For all the flak I’ve tossed his way this season I have to say, Sirmon called a nice game for the Louisville defense today.
