Congratulations to the Rams and posters like Old Rambler and Ram. You guys have been loyal to the Ram cause for many years on here and I’ve got a feeling this year it’s going to be rewarded. It’s funny how football works. In my opinion, Raceland has had better teams that have fallen short through the years, but this one might be the one to go all the way to state. They are set up better than any of the previous teams. Pikeville appears to be a solid team, but they aren’t a powerhouse. Old Rambler, you’ve just got to keep the Rams focused on the task at hand this next week so they don’t get too happy about beating Paintsville and forget about Friday’s game with Pikeville. I’m sure you’ll find the right words. :-)

To anyone familiar with this rivalry in recent years, this can't be a huge surprise. The last two post-seasons, Raceland has played Paintsville close down in Tiger land.

After tonight, Mr. Lewis can spell it how ever he wants. lol

Ram, and to other Ram fans / alums on a different and somber note ......RAM FANS ....I failed to mention that a tear came to my eyes tonight after the Win ....when I took a minute and I thought that I heard a Big ...."You've Got To Want It Gentlemen" Followed by a ..."Tell em' Where You Seen It" ! Sounding down from Heaven tonight ......:depressed:

We, who knew him know that RHS 67' Grad and "Rambler" Mike Hewlett ( Who passed away a few months ago) was looking down from Heaven with his Grandson and "Ram" Cole Thomas (Who was killed in a car accident a few years ago) and both were bringing home the Win for their beloved Raceland Rams / Ramblers !

 

BTW, it's 6:30am and I still haven't gotten to sleep, have been too pumped up from the Win.:isurrender:, I'll try again now.

PAINTSVILLE Gunnur Lewis had had enough.

Raceland’s sophomore defensive back had borne the brunt of Paintsville’s passing, and with the Tigers driving for the potential game-winning score in the final minute, Lewis did something about it.

“I just knew they kept picking on me,” Lewis said, “and I was gonna get one sooner or later.”

 

Make it two.

Lewis delivered two pick-sixes in the final 53 seconds to preserve the Rams’ 31-14 victory in the Class A, Region 3 final at Memorial Field on Friday night.
