Paris High School - Burl Clark Field at Blanton Collier Stadium Paris High School Greyhounds named its Stadium after Blanton Collier who coached at Paris High School (1928 and 1943), Great Lakes Navy as Assistant (1944-1945), Cleveland Browns as Assistant (1946-1953), University of Kentucky (1954 and 1961), Cleveland Browns as Assistant (1962) and then Cleveland Browns (1963 and 1970). Paris High School Field is named after former player Burl Clark who I believe died on the Bus coming home after an away game. This was in the 1950’s, I believe.

Paris Greyhounds defeat Morgan County Cougars 22-14 tonight at Blanton Collier Stadium. Morgan County jumped out to 6-0 lead but then Paris scored and led at halftime 8-6. Paris went ahead 22-6 but had to hold off Morgan County 22-14.

Can Paris Greyhounds continue winning against visiting Cougars from Morgan County? The Hounds had a big rushing night (322 yards) against Ludlow the week before. Can they duplicate that effort? Morgan County put up 46points last week with 382 yards rushing with six different players contributing. Both defenses need to step up.

Jamoud Clark, Running back & Cornerback, sat out to heal up bad back. That’s the only one that I know of. Paris won’t play until November 9th when Paris plays Raceland (Raceland will beat Bishop Brossart 11/2). Raceland’s District only has 3 teams.

In all likelihood, Raceland will now play 11/9 at Paris Greyhounds.
