Bracken/Mason/Pendleton are the top because of emotional ties.

 

Lawrence County would be next...spent a year there. Great folks.

LOL that can be tough.

I grew up in Ohio but since my son graduated from Ryle and I always root for them, I also root for any Boone County District school as well as CovCath and Beechwood since I have known kids that played for both of them. During the playoffs I will root for any NKY to do well.

I pull for Danville and Boyle Co which stems from playing at Centre College. I have always had admiration for those programs and their tradition.

When CovCath isn't involved I root for the Birds!

I don't really follow high school sports very closely, so I wouldn't say I have a team per se, but since I'm a Brossart alum, I try to keep up with their season a bit.

 

I've also found myself keeping tabs on Cov Cath recently, so I guess I'd go with them.

Johnson Central

Hazard (except when playing Pikeville or Phelps)

Underdog stories like Logan County this year, Todd Central this year, etc

I am a fan of most all teams in the West as a whole, but specifically Mayfield, Franklin Simpson, the Owensboro schools (when they aren't playing BG of course), and Russellville to name a few. How can you not be a fan of Logan County after their run this year going from longest losing streak to their first undefeated regular season in school history! Go Cougars!!!

Well for me it's Portland TN. Lived there for 5 years and my daughter started school there. I've probably seen more of their games in person than any team besides FS. Usually always go watch them when FS is on its bye week.

 

In Kentucky I pull for Russellville.

Depends on the circumstance. I’ll pull for any Kentucky school against an out of state opponent.

 

I’ll *usually* cheer for NKY schools. There are a couple Louisville schools I like seeing win too.

Beechwood just because, growing up in Fort Mitchell, I knew everyone that went there.

 

If I hadn't grown up dying to go to CovCath, I would have loved to play for Mike Yeagle.

 

Even with all the drama and everything that happened, most people from Beechwood have shown me nothing but love and support.

After T I go more or less in this order:

 

Louisville Catholics

State Catholics

Louisville Publics

State Publics

Non-Catholic Private Schools

 

To be fair there are some specific exceptions in each category. I have a soft spot for a few programs out there.

Rowan County Vikings

I tend to pull for teams that have kids I Coached and my kids played with. There are kids all over the Boone county district so I pull for our four teams, and CCH because of Casey Mcginnis. Kyle England won a Super Bowl with him!
