Hate that they went all-in and only have night games now. I feel like that 2pm Saturday KO is a tradition lost now. They should have at least one per year on Saturday anyway, and it would seem the Highlands game (or another local rival on years when CC is @Highlands) would be a great choice for that.

 

I know having an occasional Saturday night game like once a season or so was in discussion at one time or other...not sure what happened to that idea. May just have had a hard time getting another team to agree to it when it was just a "for old-time's sake" kind of thing...I dunno.

I don't know how "official" it is, but I do know the KHSAA "strongly encourages" teams to have their home KOs at 7/7:30/8pm Friday.

I'm kinda torn. Boone has a bye so I thought I'd go see Ryle vs Cov Cath. But lately the Highlands vs Cooper game has my interest. Cooper didn't show much in the one scrimmage I saw so I want to see for myself what they were holding back.

My point is you can't legislate that all games start at a set time when you have a doubleheader at the same site. That's why the KHSAA's "strong suggestion" doesn't really apply during the first couple weeks of the season, when bowl game DHs are being played.
