In Somerset for Southwestern/Northwest game on Friday then to Harrodsburg for Boyle/J.Hardin on Sat.

Go early to QS&L on Mall Rd, eat some wings (my favorite is the chipotle dry rub), Stop at the UDF near Haines Dr. for some ice cream, check out a book at the Scheben library, then head to the game.

 

I can't guarantee the outcome will make you happy but the pre-game routine will have you in a great mood when your backside hits the bleachers.

Hopefully headed to HHS vs Cooper.

Ryle - Cov Cath

 

I'm not sure how you pass this one up. I'm hoping for a good game. It's got some good story lines. You have Ryle who got pounded by Trinity last week but they were able to identify some major weaknesses and then you have Cov Cath who didn't play anyone that challenged them last week(IMO). Now, they're both getting tested from similar talent levels under the lights for the first time ever at CCH.

 

Questions to answer...

Can Cov Cath's line hang with Ryle's, and stop the Chiz?

Can Ryle's DB's stop the great AJ Mayer's passing attack?

Can Ryle's LB's stop the running attack that will open up from that passing?

Can Jake Smith handle the pressure at QB? He did pretty good in the 7-v-7's over the summer but disappeared in the Trinity game.

 

My opinion...If Ryle's DB's can step up and make some big plays and Jake Smith can make his reads and not get rattled then Ryle wins this one 28-21. If AJ passes all over them and Ryle's QB gets rattled Cov Cath runs away with it 42-14.
