UK gets first basketball commitment in Mike Williams....

So you should question the job done by Tubby Smith unless your a better coach?

Please don't read the polictal board because people are constantly questioning George Bush.

Like I said before currently Patterson is the only top 40 recruit interested in UK, that makes him a must get. If Tubby misses on him this will not be a successful recruiting season. Patterson maybe the most important recruit of Tubby's career.

That's odd because Rivals.com has Patterson and Anderson both in the top 40 wiht Jai(pronounced Jay, UK fans should learn it now) Lucas coming in at 42.

Don't go by rivals you say? No matter, because Scout has Patterson and Anderson top 40 with Jai as #46......Maybe you should do a little research....

I'm not going to give up on this kid before he's ever given the chance to prove himself. If I remember correctly, Akeem Alajauan was not on the radar screen when he signed with the Houston Cougars in the early '80s. He was basicly a tall soccer player. But he went on to a great college and pro career.....he developed. Same story with Navy's David Robinson. He wasn't recruited by anyone, but made an unbelievable player for the Midshipmen and the NBA.

Williams is 7 feet tall and at 260 has the weight to not be pushed around.

It could be possible that some of the bashers/doubters on here may be eating a little crow in a few years.

Or as early as a few weeks..... ;)

Its tough to get to excited and assured that we are going to get all these recruits. What was the talk last season? That it was almost a lock Wright, Young, Kemp, and Patterson were coming to UK. What happed> didnt get one of those guys. We have a reason to be worried.

Anderson a 6'5" forward out of Arkansas is ranked #34 by rivals. Problem is that Rivals doesn't have UK included in his list of schools. So if you are going by Rivals.com then Patterson is UK's only top 40 prospect. Maybe you should take your own advise.

I would also like to point out that I realize that JJ Hickson also list UK but the chance of him coming to UK are 0%. He is no longer returning calls from Tubby and his staff.

No I just keep hearing what he cant do...(pages and pages) so I'm like just get straight to the point "can you do better"... if not ... you have have no dog in this fight.

You're right.....I'll be quiet now.

I do not invest much into internet rumors and propoganda. We (fans) have very little knowledge as to the recruiting process of UK basketball.

25 or 26 wins with a good tournament run will make most of us feel better. 2005/2006 is over and I'm ready to move on. I guarantee that Tubby is ready to move on. It sounds to me like the rest of you all are ready to move on. GO BIG BLUE!! :dancingpa

What?

You know what I said!

Who cares if they don't say UK is one of his schools?? We all know he is a top 40 prospect that is interested in UK, thus your previous statement was wrong.

Your the one using Rivals.com as your reference point and they don't list Anderson as interested in UK.

The deal with Anderson is no one really knew UK was recruiting him. Then in an interview Lucas, probably on accident, mentioned that UK was. And now it has been comfirmed UK is recruiting him and is going to visit sometime this month.

They list are hardly ever accurate or atleast up to date.

Is there a link so we can see him?
