October 2, 200620 yr :laugh: :laugh: :laugh: If OTS gave this kid a scholly..... Then he knows something about Lucas, Patterson, And Stewart that we dont. That's what I've been thinking... Way too early for the negativity. If UK misses out on two of the three mentioned, then it's time to worry.
October 2, 200620 yr Author No one knows anything about these kids except maybe them and their family members. The coaches--both their HS and the ones recruiting them, the recruiting analysts, the college basketball reporters, everyone involved knows very little except the kid. A prime example of this is w/the recruiting of Jai Lucas in the last week. It was reported on different UK sites Jai Lucas was "a 100% certainty" for Oklahoma State and this was done by national recruiting analyst, Greg Swaim on his own site. Lucas was then interviewed by Matt Jones of KSR and Lucas flat out said NO he was not committed to OSU and that the quote was funny. He also said that he was looking forward to his Big Blue Madness visit and getting to see all the crazy fans. Thanks to Matt Jones and KSR for their great work, it is a real treat to have their site and show. Another example is the fact that Tubby is recruiting SG/SF James Anderson of Arkansas, not one recruiting site in the country had UK involved and it was Jai Lucas that actually let everyone know. Again, no one really knows, Arkansas was a LOCK for Anderson according to 2 different sites and they still may get him, but he is visiting UK for a visit and is good friends w/Lucas and none of the recruiting sites had that one. W/Lucas, Patterson, and Stewart leading the way among many invited recruits at Big Blue Madness it would be hard to believe we would lose out on all three of the big-name recruits. It easily could happen though, however all three have stated how great there in-home vists were, how comfortable they felt w/Tubby and the assistants, the UK traddition, and all three are counting the days til BBM. That has to bode well for Tubby and this year's recruiting class. I hope Tubby's hardwork this season pay's off and this shape's up to be the class we are all hoping for. Either way we will all be able to get up in the morning and live another day and root for the BIG BLUE!!!!!!!
