What are the small college gyms with charibacks?

Transy? Centre? Bellermaine?

Centre might seat 1000. It has one section of bleachers on each side, no chairbacks. Parking is very limited as well. While it is a great place to watch a D3 game, it would be a terrible place to host.

Heard through the grapevine that one certain person was on press row cheering and carrying on during certain team's games. I'm thinking I already know who that

was.

Unless it was repealed, the tournament can not be played on a D1's home court. The NCAA ruled 6 or 7 years ago that a non state sanctioned event could not be at a D1 college facility. That was the reason it was moved from EKU.

If you're thinking me........you are dead wrong.

I can't imagine that it seats 1,000.

Sportscenter in Owensboro would work

I can vouch for this as dude was WAY too consumed with rapid fire typing away on his laptop bringing everyone here play by play updates of the entire tournament, both boys and girls. He was WAY too in the zone to be carrying on as @LVGambla32 is suggesting of what he had "Heard through the grapevine".

Where in my post did I mention Lawnboy? I didn't suggest him or anyone else. Plenty of others down there besides him.

I can assure you that there was no such "carrying on" activity on press row for the entire tournament.

You had from left to right looking at the floor the 2 radio announcers alternating with 2 other radio announcers, the guy (name ?) who was tirelessly running the event and his assistant, often times Stan Steidel, the brainchild of the tourney took a seat, LB13, myself, and then an assortment of various newspaper writers from around the state that frequently changed depending on who was playing filled the last few seats.

If there was any such "carrying on" we would have definitely seen and heard it. The "grapevine" is no doubt making stuff up.

Yeah...and when he wasn't typing he was stuffing his face, so he couldn't cheer anyway...and I can vouch for that!:thumb:

OMG they had the best brownies that I've ever had in my entire life. I've since had dreams about them. I must've gained 10 pounds with all of the awesome food that they served that I just couldn't pass up. :lol2:

Stan and Mike Reeves run a tight ship on press row.

There is little or NO showing of display of rooting for a specific team while seated there.
